Ironically, Nimura, the main villain turns out to want the exact same thing that the main character,Kaneki always wanted, to have a normal life.

Kamina just kept dropping bangers "Don't believe in yourself, believe in the me that believes in you" "God gave us eyes in the front our heads so that we could look forward to the future" "Reject common sense and make the impossible, possible" he's just a mans man yo

gurren lagann was integral to my growth as a person. simon's growth was always tangential to me. i'm very happy that i had this video come up when it did. i truthfully feel like all of it's worth it in a poetic sense. in the same way that i watched the series end, i just feel like it's fate this showed up. i'm at a point where i'm happy to pass my core drill on. ultimately, i'm just happy to feel the genuine wonder of gurren lagann again. amazing video.

When I saw the Gurren in the rain that resemble it crying it hit me, even him who couldn't is inanimate is permetted to, by the heavens through the rain, it scarred me with sorrow But not the will nor the power but the indomitable dream died in that moment, but they didn't fully understand that dreams are endless seeds that sprout in the heart. Kamina has started a path that they lead now

I feel like you went way too easy on Midori, I don’t see it as she was going through a bad time so she assaulted him. I feel like her behaviour was foreshadowed in her first meeting him and remarking how much he looks like Uuchi 😢

I'll say it once and I'll say it as many times as I can. Yuji is the GOAT of JJK. His entire character progression was perfect, and encapsulates the themes of the series perfectly.
@No-fh5lz2 ай бұрын
P.S., YOU COOKED I loved the ending as much as you did, but the one thing that always irked me was how the question of curses was never addressed. You answered that for me, and when I saw Yuji's own fist and his words saying that he'll "end the cycle of curses," I realized at that moment what it all meant. These logical solutions to end curses were lacking in humanity, and maybe (just maybe) is a metaphor to how we as a society try to solve problems. For example, whenever the topic of crime shows up, our heads immediately go to rack for different solutions. Increase surveillance, genocide or jail people we see as "unfit" for society, make more laws, take away more laws, etc, etc... But Yuji answers that for us right at the end, when he and his friends confront the stalker in the final chapter. Law would probably permit arrest, and more extremists would opt for execution. Instead, Yuji simply answers with empathy. Humanity. That's his answer, and though it may be a tough road to follow, it might just be the right one. Thank you man, this video made my day and solidified the ending entirely for me.

I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this video. It’s usually a follow up after a binge of reading the manga or watching the anime and honestly I find this video perfect after the consumption of Tokyo ghoul bc i don’t know anyone who loves this story as much as I. This manga will be etched into my soul forever

One subtle thing I really love about Simon coming into his own is how he doesn’t repeat Kamina’s grief-stricken mistake once he dies thanks to Kamina’s last piece of advice more specifically “Don’t believe in the me that believes in you” because if you remember when he finds his father’s remains, Kamina takes his cape but when Kamina dies Simon doesn’t take anything of his, he leaves his sword and cape as a grave and lets someone else pilot Gurren instead of taking it for himself because if he keeps trying to live up to a dead man like Kamina did he’s just going to end up in the ground with him and like he said they lost something that could never be replaced

8:56 She was toxic for Punpun yes but let's not forget that she ain't at fault here. Both are just extremely bad for each other and bring the worst of each other because they are damaged people. Punpun abused her both physically, sexually, emotionally and mentally, tries to kill her and she also gouges out his eye and tries to kill him. The problem Punpun had is that he put her on a pedestal, and he thought his problems in his life would go away if he finally was with her. Like Punpun, she was living in a quiet despair, with absolutely no one, no love and no care. The problem with Punpun is that he forgot Aiko was just a human being, and which led him to dissapointment when Aiko wasn't actually the idea of Aiko he had in his head. Their whole dynamic can be summed up by a moment very early in the manga, which I think was when he was at the coffee shop with his lawyer friend where he met Midori, and he sees a couple, on a couch, holding hands, with a dark despair on their faces, then he says this to his co worker: "A love made so that the two can lick each other's wounds is unsightly". And this really seems like such a foreshadowing imo to how Punpun and Aiko turn up.
