Awesome! You have it all...GN, NP, SP&S. My type of layout. Greetings from Spokane. Looking to go from HO to N but not sure yet. Was wondering what sized is your club's layout?

I am so glad this showed up in my Brouse! The buildings and weathering are absolutely amazing; and that inside, double tracked freight house is exquisite! I may have to take artistic license and include a similar version of it on my D&RGW home layout! Well done on everything including the "moving picture" show. Very inspirational! Thanks. OK, back to watching this again.

Thanks for checking in, Roger. I met Bill through the NMRA. When we moved from New Jersey to Michigan, Bill invited us to a barbecue at his house to meet other local modelers. A great guy for sure.

At the 3:56 min point could you please tell me what are the overhead wires that hang across the tracks from pole to pole ? Beautiful work, thank you for sharing. Jim
@kenvandevoort78209 күн бұрын
That is a telltale. Back in the days when brakemen had to be on top of the car, the telltale would remind them to duck down for a bridge or tunnel.

Jim, thanks for checking in and leaving a comment. I see that Ken has already given you the info on telltales, and I thank him for that. A nice railroad detail, depending on the time period that you model.

Very nice looking layout. It’s refreshing to see a city scene that isn’t dilapidated. So many modelers these days get caught up in the attempt to make everything look like it’s ready to be condemned. Again, very nice

There is something to keep in mind with collecting and building a model railroad. This can be described using the acronym TABLE, what will your family do with your Trains After & Beyond your Life Expectancy? No matter what your age, death is something a person needs to plan ahead for to ease your families loss. Having a relationship with the Savior, Jesus is a good start.
@BrianF-ug2ne8 күн бұрын

I have at least 6 of these Camelbacks (Reading railroad) and 4 of IHC's GG-1's. All of them are from IHC's "Premiere Series" line, in the purple boxes. All run smooth and super quiet. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good locomotive.
