Auckland needs a tunnel not a bike bridge, build the tunnel and you've got the lane on the existing bridge for bikes, our transport managers and government are fucking retarded spending $685 million on a cycle bridge.

Was supposed to be 3 lanes each way but knocked back to 2 lanes each way by Sid Hollands particularly backward looking national party government of the day. Well, even 3 lanes each way wouldn't have been enough probably only a couple of years after 2 lanes each way weren't enough!

Freeway.... miles.... oh why were miles taken over by kilometers miles are more efficient (roadwise) and speed limits would be understandably smaller like 100 km/h would be 60 mph and etc I’m not bashing the metric system but I’m saying roadwise miles and miles per hour are better

Point apart, in my country (Chile) es the sime, because is evidente the different acent of the radio Locutors of the 1950 to 1960, in comparation with 2000 to today.

Not really. This is just how the newscaster talks. Common people back then didn't speak that differently.
