When they asked me where I was going I said I’m heading south from west but need to go to town first, and so it was for 50+ years 😂😂😂

It was a stupid idea. It would have created all kinds of access problems for the wharfs. And frankly, there wouldn't have been enough space for it along Quay Street anyway.

Auckland needs a tunnel not a bike bridge, build the tunnel and you've got the lane on the existing bridge for bikes, our transport managers and government are fucking retarded spending $685 million on a cycle bridge.

Was supposed to be 3 lanes each way but knocked back to 2 lanes each way by Sid Hollands particularly backward looking national party government of the day. Well, even 3 lanes each way wouldn't have been enough probably only a couple of years after 2 lanes each way weren't enough!

Freeway.... miles.... oh why were miles taken over by kilometers miles are more efficient (roadwise) and speed limits would be understandably smaller like 100 km/h would be 60 mph and etc I’m not bashing the metric system but I’m saying roadwise miles and miles per hour are better
