Im 14 and im really really excited about dirt biking although im gonna start only in about 2 years when i get my license and enough money to buy a dirt bike and i just wanted to ask for recommendations for a first bike rn im 5'6 but im obviously gonna grow in those 2 years

My son is 12.5 years old. But he is pushing 6 foot tall and 220 pounds. I have ridden for years and he wants to get into it, his mom finally gave me the green light to get him a bike. He was very upset today because he thought he was getting a bike, it broke my heart! What bike do you think would be a good fit for him? I don't care about brand for his first bike, I just want one that he will be safe on and enjoy being introduced into riding.

The Honda has a 4 valve head and at least 3 more hp but only a 5sp gear box.

My 2nd bike was a 85 YZ490 and the engine had been worked by a racer, i had maybe 2 or 3 hours total experience riding my 84 XR350, this was not my wisest purchase as the bike spat me off and hard three times on my first ride and that was enough for me, I immediately sold that MF and the new 88 TT350 was a wise choice.

You have to close the pressure valve clockwise once it starts. Otherwise you have zero pressure

Dirt bikes are supposed to be big on you your supposed to be on a leg and the bike is leaning if you can touch with both feats it’s to small

It was my first bike and it is beginner friendly as long as you have some sense 😂 a 85 can be dangerous for a beginner if they don’t learn to know their limits

could've added the clutch foot lever as a con, I actually like the gas cap that you can't overtighten. Solid bike though with a few minor upgrades

I started riding a yz125 at the age of 9 and my dads Suzuki 450 I’ve raced Mx and enduro so I really don’t think that size matters in this department cause the yz125 was my first bike so it just matters how brave you are

I am just getting ready to get into off road riding- and I'm an old guy LOL. It's not my first go around- I have owned several enduro and motocross bikes over the years- but absolutely nothing like there is these days. I own a 2022 HD Street glide ultra- Honestly, I'm over it, it's been good ride, and I have some good memories, but the most fun I ever had riding was on an old Yamaha 250 enduro-modified. This was the video I was looking for-I'm retiring this year and I been wanting to ride. And I'm going to. IDK what it was but I really heard what he had to say, and he knocked me off the fence about getting back on a bike. TY -KX250X for me!

You should measure the inseam of the leg, not the total height 😑

I do highly doubt that there's their actual Heights cuz I'm 5'2 and I can almost flat for a 34 inch seat height and definitely flatfoot 32 inch seat height with no problem I doubt that that kid is 5'4 it's more likely he's just like 5'0

Bought my son a 2019 kx450f for his first bike for his 15th birthday. Had only ridden a shit little 125cc pit bike for about 8 months. He loves it Been thrashing it around for a few months now, dong little jumps, popping wheelies. Super proud of him operating such a machine, but he would get bored of a 250 in a year.

Kinda pointless since traxxas delivers a GT40 Body for the 4tec 2.0. Unless you want a rear spoiler
