Fun with the YZ125 and KX100 at Holly Oaks ORV Park, Holly Michigan

Chase Eads is riding the 2017 KX100. I'm on the 2017 YZ125. I don't have a lot of seat time on this bike, but I'm liking this bike more and more.

I'm about an hour away from Holly. I ride at Twisted MX as much as possible. That's where I've mainly been going.

Would you say that your yz125 is stronger than your kx250? Which one do you like more and why may I ask?

No, the kx250 has more useable power throughout the rpm range. However, the YZ125 has a unique feel and sound that just can't be topped by my KX250. I'm faster on my KX but the YZ is more fun to ride because of the power curve and the sound. The YZ is cheaper and easier to maintain. 4 stroke mx bikes require a lot of maintenance...checking valve clearances, shimming valves, replacing valves..it's a pain.

​@@gohobby9934hi I'm a beginner young adult who wants to get into motocross competitively/enduro riding. Is the yz125 a good option for me to start with?. They told me the yz125 2 stroke would be to powerful and snappy for a beginner so they recommend me a trail bike which I really don't want 😂. Another dealer recommend me getting a kx250 4 stroke I was told it's much more easier for a beginner to ride. How true is that? & also im looking at pricing the yz125 is a little cheaper and easier to maintain. But I want a bike that's best fit for the riding I want to do. Thanks in advance!!
