Braking point for T2 is tough to judge with the blue cone and the distance. A lot easier is to brake when you reach the dirt on the left, where the grass ends

I bought a G29 W/pedals for $150usd. I also bought plans to build my own cockpit for $20.

Buy a g29 second but get the wheel and pedals separately for a good saving. That’s what I did. £60 in total

Controllers are only good for sim-cade titles. Please dont do that for a Real racing sim (the ones that only have cockpit view) you will not be competitive and will be a danger to every one around you in multiplayer races, especially in ovals. Trust me on this

If you're on a single monitor look left and right button binding are not an option, it's a necessity

Has no one heard of fov calculator?! There's one literally built into iracing. Also search engines are a thing

There is no real advantage to using a geometrically correct FoV. Just keep it higher so you can see the exits of turns well. Finally then you will start gaining speed.

Yes they race nonestop. They don't work they only sim race so it makes sense.

I love your track guides - thank you! I hope that iRacing will soon add an active reset file save/load option, so that we can mimic a track guide's exact conditions for a hot lap. Exact air/track temp, tire pressures, fuel levels, etc., etc.

Simply amazing! I have bpd and bipolar so my memory is bad so I tend to fall out of rhythm while racing. but having your words in my head while racing is 100% the best. Reminding me where and how to brake and why and the breaking markers! Thank you

I set my fov so my hands on my wheel in the rig, cover and line up hands on the wheel I game....

Please explain what you mean by "some sim racers even practice with a force feed back wheel"? There are no sim racers that race seriously that don't have a wheel with out force feed back, I wouldn't even know where you would get one from.

Out of curiosity could you share what you have your 57 G9 set too? Also curious if you selected the triple monitor rendering setting and if running it at native 7680 resolution or did you bump it down to 5120?

staring at 5 pm on a Friday and finishing at 2am of Saturday morning and same cycle from Saturday afternoon 🥵, driving games helps a lot to get a better reflex on a real situation

The hardest thing is to make good use of the time you practice instead of just hot lapping

I come from the oval community but for superspeedway races in particular I put most of my focus on the rear view mirror and just use the corners of my eyes to look ahead

Literally just ruined my race because I was tunnel visioning on the car in front of me and didn't notice the car spinning ahead of him
