Thank YOU ! For Being YOU and taking the time to share this. Folks, this really works and will save you some bucks. Two things . Be patient and use a cleaner, like acetone to clean the cavity, then use a lightweight oil to finish the job. Don't try to push 30 weight down those small openings. THIS DUDE Knows how to as he says, saves a couple of bucks and is "just a guy" I wish that there were more of you!

Had to come back and comment. Watched your video and it went fantastic. Cables move smooth and freely now. Remote still a little tough. May change it later

Maybe it works to extend time for a proper repair. But i did this and it did free my cables for about 2months before they completey failed. Also havibg the cables soaked with oil just helps it collect dirt. If u you do this plan on doing it every year or two because the cables get dirty faster now

Dude, you need to read air compressor safety, because spraying out here in your mouth could’ve got air underneath the skin

So in order for the tell tail to properly pee you need to get the motor to a warmer temperature?? That would make sense when I try it in a barrel that it doesn't flow immediately??

Good information, thanks Chris! Have you ever tried lubricating your steering cables? They're much bigger and harder to disassemble and mine need lubed big time. Thanks!

Will a clogged pee hole affect high rpm performance, every time I hit sand it'll bog down when I'm 4500 rpms or higher.?

Hello. I am having a problem with my Yamaha 70 2 stroke . It's not passing out water from the pump.out the hose. Not sure if it's clogged up or needs a new impeller. Are you anywhere close to Highlands tx. Just need some advice or help . Thank you very much...

My tell-tale wasn't working after i cruised around at low tide in the gulf and got it stopped up. I usually can get it flowing with a piece of wire I carry onboard but this time, nope. I changed the impeller and I'm working on putting the lower unit back on. This is why it's always good practice to flush your engine after muddy fishing trips and not be lazy. Salty mud can harden in your engine block and cause a lot of wasted time and money. ( Rusty)

Sorry but this is a band aid approach. For the time involved with doing this, and how long this will extend the longevity of the shift cable, just replace the cable. The problem with shifting is usually the lower shift cable though. So get a lower shift cable kit and take the time to do that. The new shift cables are of far superior quality, and the lower kit kit costs about $100. If you find it's the shift station cable, it should be replaced too, and that will take you about as long as doing this. Either will take some time, and to do the lower shift cable you will have to pull the drive. But do it right, and don't fight with it again. The drive should probably be serviced at this time anyway, so do both, and avoid additional problems on the water, that are probably soon coming.

Lol! Same thing happened to me last week on douglas lake tn. I was reeling one in on a jerkbait. It jumped out of the water, dove down and by the time it got to the boat I had two on. Biggest one was 2.5lbs, smaller one came off, but it's always awesome to see two bass on one jerkbait

Your hands block everything on the cast. You also don't mention how to keep from birds nesting, what your settings might be on your reel like spool tension or what your brakes are set to. The entire video was the equivalent of walking by and saying "you shoukd skip that Chatter bait underneath Docks".
@CrewDogGamer2 жыл бұрын
hes not using your reel. its gonna be different for every reel. if you want any advice on that keep your thumb off the reel until your bait gets 1-2 skips into the cast. then apply thumb pressure. keep the reel loose. dont bear the brakes and spool tension down to no end. you should be able to make an open water cast and wonder "when is it going to stop?"
