the armor requires fresh blood to be fed to it, where you give up half your remaining Hit Dice or take 1 level of exhaustion, I'm a Cleric I cast Greater Restoration Remove one of the following 1 Exhaustion level or The Charmed or Petrified condition.

Loving the book so far! I use a digital spreadsheet for my character, combat log, etc. Instead of drawing the maps on paper, I created each tile digitally, and have a Map tab in my spreadsheet. Makes creating the map as easy as copy/paste. Looking forward to getting the expansion books once I’m done with these initial quests.

Hi - I have bought several colored minis from Hero Forge. I think of the price as cost of mini + paint job. Base $ for decent paint job for mini I found several years ago was $40. So color plastic mini price is in line. Plus you get to Customize the mini. The paint job on the minis are not as intense or in-depth as the hero made on their website. You have to go to the Buy button and select colored plastic. You will see the slightly washed out version (the one you get). I figure when I have the time, I can enhance the mini with paint if I ever want to. So for long term playing, you get a customized mini and afterwards you get a small figure to remember the good times you had playing with your friends.

The longer I’ve owned the mini the more I’ve enjoyed it. The game I got it for is just starting and I’m super excited about it. I didn’t think about touching up the paint to liven it up, that’s an interesting idea. As for the cost, while not cheap, I think it’s well worth it. Thanks for the comment!

I used this during hoard of the dragon queen. My characters were killed and I used the river master on the river Styx who sets them to rob the. Casino in exchange of a return to their bodies

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I only have two players in my campaign so it was inevitable that they would be killed. I thought this would be great as a bill in Ted bogus journey meets oceans 11 to get the characters back

@historyboy25 oh that’s so cool! I did something similar when running Lost Mines with only two players, they died pretty early on so I switched to Out of the Abyss by having the goblins sell the party to the Drow.

@@DragonsAndFlagons oh, good question. I have all of them. I think Book 5 the Dragon’s Return is especially good. Book 6 for the World Builder gives a ton of modularity, and the new Rune Forge book 7 looks very promising but I have not played it yet.

I bought the stl files for 6 hero forge figures last November, I had them printed at the library. I might go find another library and reprint some there to see what the difference in quality is. I was already subbed, but RIVERSRpg sent me.

@@DragonsAndFlagons we had to tinker a bit, all but one came out fine. And they were kind enough to do do-overs when they failed. I'll look for another library with a 3D printer and try to reprint the one that just wouldn't come out right

I didn’t believe it before but my friend spent a two hour dnd session rolling nothing less than a 18s and when I tried with the same dice I could get above a 10 the dice showed him undying loyalty. AND THEY WEREN’T EVEN HIS DICE HE JUST BORROWS THEM EVERY TIME.

I use a combination of 2d6 Dungeon and d100 Dungeon with my own homemade encounter charts based on the dungeon I am delving at the time. If anyone every used Appendix A in the 1e AD&D DMG, I used that for years and still use a few things from that as well.

Token Vision/Light does not appear for any character. I am right-clicking from the DM POV and see all the options, just not vision/light. Did it move?

Each character should have a 'Token Vision/Light' option to set the lighting options for the individual character. Within the scene options there is a slider for 'Line of Sight/Darkness Opacity'. I hope that helps.

Yeah, some of these boxes are hit-and-miss. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping my subscription too much longer, but I would like to replace it with something else, I just need to find what that thing is first.

Im alittle confused about something... You made the order, so why did you order stuff (MtG) that you don't particularly care for? Seems like pointless clutter in your home. I kinda understand the LotR one, since you and your team worked on it, but the Phyraxia one confuses me. Anywho... Awesome to see they came through and delivered your stuff. :)

Totally understandable, I actually worked on both sets. I’m not sure what the release cadence is now, but at least at the time a new set would come out about every 6 weeks. In an effort to support the sets I would grab a box for each I worked on. Internally we would call it our 402K with the hope that when you leave wizards you could sell them. As for the 2022 box, if I remember correctly it was just cheap enough for the points I had left.

This service is not for enemies, not even for the big bad, but for a custom painted PC hero avatar miniature is well worth it. Also, you can custom deigned your PC and have it printed in monochrome and paint it yourself for a lot less. In any case, you can design your PC Hero mini for free and see how much all the option cost in the "Buy" section before ordering.

I have always wanted to do some HeroForge mini's for my homegame that I run, but the AUD price...well...I'd have to sell some organs. They're a nice idea, but I think I'll stick to finding Reaper Mini's that are "close enough". ...or raiding board games with mini's... LOL!

@@DragonsAndFlagons: That's my point. The prices are coming down as the more people use the service. 45-50 is not unreasonable for a custom designed painted miniature. (Granted I like to see them in the 35 range.) If you can paint, the price is 20-25 for custom minis. Not unreasonable at all.
