Actually you can't run a "Standard USB/c" cable from the mic to PC or phone - you need to purchase a specific Rode cable so no other cables work

Looks like a reworked Smallrig V10 head. Also sold as a Cayer K10 Pro at a lower price. The latter works really well with my Sony AR4, Sony 100-400 GM lens combination.

Right pronunciation. Just heard an Australian born Chinese photographer pronounce it. I’ve used one for years. Quality product like the other Sirui products., ballheads, tripods & today’s purchase a Sirui gimbal. Only gripe I have is the price these days. They used to be cheaper but now people have discovered the brand & they’re charging accordingly. I haven’t had your experience when extending it and the feet are fine. Only had one screw come loose but I replaced it with one I had around the house.

That's their older version. Check out their new SVM-145 or SMV-165 models.

I like the Leofoto BV-5 Fluid Head slightly better.

There are a few youtubers that made the switch to the ad300 from the ad400pro. From the looks of it the attraction is how small of a footprint it has. That said you pay a premium.

I never have a prblem with the locking mechanism, To be honest I think you are making an issue of something that doesnt exist. Very pedandtic. Sorry, you are out of order with this gripe. BTW It is a brilliant, well designed piece of kit.

I have a problem with the lock buttons of the iron legs at the bottom. When I press the button, it stays inside and the legs doesnt lock and floats away. I think the reason is that the coils inside do not work.

The AD300 Pro and AD400 Pro both use the Godox mount, so any Godox modifiers will work on either. The AD400 Pro also comes with a Bowens mount adapter. Finally, the AD200 Pro batteries will work on the AD300 Pro, but not vice versa.

I was trying to trade in my AD400 Pro to Adorama, since I bought it from them, and get the AD300 Pro, but those assholes have not replied back to me. I guess I'll just order the AD300 Pro on black friday or cyber monday and try to sell my AD400 Pro on Craigslist or elsewhere

Just a note. When using this monopod in an actual photo or video shooting you hold it in a vertical position and usually you keep one hand close to the camera, on the side that has no knobs. With the other hand you unlock the knobs by holding them between the thumb and the index. Doing this there is no chance to unlock two knobs in the same time. At least this is my experience, and I’m using a Sirui monopod since 2018.

They also make a Flip Lock version.

I've been using this exact model for over six years now - mostly pro filming, plus some photography. It's amazing. The bottom rubber end doesn't stick out too much, I haven't changed anything, so not sure why you had that issue. It also just fits my suitcase for travelling. Top product!

I love my Sirui lenses, but iFootage monopods are the absolute best

Would you choose this one, or any other Monopod? Maybe any Manfrotto model or other producent?

Excellent review! I wish more people knew how to actually review effectively and not just read what the manufacturer stated in specs. Me being a farmer that deals with old machinery, the slap in that bottom piece is something I just can't get past. I came looking for a monopod to put my RS3 on for travel overseas (I know that's not what they are for but whatevs lol) . Any thoughts on a product that I could get away with doing that?

The issue with low cost video heads is that most of them have either no-counterbalance or a counterbalance mechanism that is very limited. A good basic video head should have an adjustable counterbalance that matches the weight of the cameras you will shoot with.

Not exactly uniquie. Most of this head is copied from the Manfrotto, including the Manfrotto 501 QR plate.

Just tighten those leg screws to take the slop off and it actually accomodates the rubber on the bottom.
