I purchased the Leofoto LS-324CEX with the BV-10 head and later the Sirui VH-10X. Conclusion: The BV-10 is best suited for studio photographers because the head can be locked completely, making it very stable but difficult to control if micro-adjustments are needed. The VH-10X, on the other hand, is ideal for videographers and photographers as it is highly sensitive and smooth. It can also be locked in place, although not as tightly as the BV-10, meaning slight movement is still possible. Comparison while using with Nikon P1000: BV-10, capturing a flying plane is almost impossible to do accurately, as even the slightest movement causes noticeable jumps. VH-10X glides smoothly, making it easy to track and focus on a flying plane with precision.

The issue with low cost video heads is that most of them have either no-counterbalance or a counterbalance mechanism that is very limited. A good basic video head should have an adjustable counterbalance that matches the weight of the cameras you will shoot with.

It is all a matter of price - as always. Adjustable counterbalance is very nice to have and makes a lot of sense, but you will not find this feature with a fluid head of the VH-10X's price and size. I also use and like this fine head on a massive Sirui monopod. For tripod work I prefer the E-Image GH06F that has an adjustable counterbalance. The GH06F head is much bigger, much heavier and costs a lot more money than the Sirui VH-10X. There is no free luch.

@@frankthoma6764 The cheapest adjustable fluid head is the Benro S6Pro fluid head that has 6 increments of adjustment and costs $225 US. Not the best, but it's a starting point.

Looks like a reworked Smallrig V10 head. Also sold as a Cayer K10 Pro at a lower price. The latter works really well with my Sony AR4, Sony 100-400 GM lens combination.

I found all the hand gestures very distracting in the video. How does it compare to Leophoto and is it Arca Swiss compatible?

Not exactly uniquie. Most of this head is copied from the Manfrotto, including the Manfrotto 501 QR plate.
