I lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro in 1982 to 1984. I would go out and eat Feijoada. Nows it's 40 years later I'm actually making Feijoada. Nice presentation.

I was thinking about the similarities here to some Indian cooking. Allowing the sauce to finish cooking the meat after browning, and the dash of turmeric!

I’ve been living in the us for 63 years and boy I miss feijoada,am able to find it but only canned,my american wife of 53 years tried to make it,dried meat ( carne seca) we cannot find it so I have to resort to canned stuff which is very good

No, not in FEIJOADA. I think you are mistaking FEIJOADA for MUQUECA, another brazilian classic dish made out of fish and a bunch of other stuff in whitch we use coconut milk. ;D
