Staying up to watch Johnny Carson was a treat. When I moved out of my parents house and got my own place, I watched him every night thinking I was an adult. Same feeling I had when SNL was relevant.

Probably the best 4 segments on the Tonight show were: this one; the tomahawk throwing by Ed Ames (when it stuck in the groin of the target) and brought the longest laugh; when Robin Williams & Johnny Winters on at the same time; the Carnak "Sis-boom-bah" answer (...what is the sound a sheep makes when it explodes) which was the second longest laugh. Johnny & Ed couldn't pull it together, each kept setting off the other to keep laughing.
