Seeing as there are LNG terminals in Louisiana, it might make sense to have projects to capture swamp gas for liquefaction. Some farms have swine manure under a tarp to collect it, maybe a similar system would work in a way that when the pressure reaches a certain level a pump would collect it in container bottles to be processed.

Warning: don't do this at home! The least loss is when you poke hole in the tupperware, but when you turn your home into a swamp you will get into deep trouble.

Great catches, and an MUF to the top of the band! I had a feeling WFLZ and WPCV would be among them, blowtorches that they are. With an SDR, I was hoping to dig out a 2Es catch by now. Hasn't happened yet. Of course, I have many many more locals at this end of the path.

I remember watching this video when it came out well over a decade ago. When I first saw this, the stations he caught were listed as annotations that popped up throughout the video. But now that those annotations have been gone for well over 8 years, I thought I would list some of the stations he caught in this video for convenience sake: 2 meter: - N1DPM @ FN32 - KT1Q @ FN32 - KA3KDL @ FN10 - WB2EZG @ FN20 - K3SZY @ FN10 - W2RJO @ FN23 FM-DX: - CITF-FM 107.5 (now Rouge FM) / Quebec City, CAN / ~1400 mi. from FWB - WNYC-FM 93.9 / New York, NY / 5.2kW / ~1004 mi. - WFXF-FM 95.1 (now WAIO-FM) / Rochester, NY / 50kW / ~1008 mi. - WJPA-FM 95.3 / Washington, PA / 2.85kW / ~765 mi. - WRMM-FM 101.3 / Rochester, NY / 27kW / ~1009 mi. - WFLK-FM 101.7 (now on 99.3 as a classic hits station) / Seneca Falls, NY / 5kW / ~1022 mi. - WBEB-FM 101.1 / Philadelphia, PA / 14kW / ~923 mi. - WDUQ-FM 90.5 (now WESA-FM) / Pittsburgh, PA / 25kW / ~785 mi. - WJWV-FM 90.9 / Ft. Gaines, GA / VP: 81kW; HP: 20.5kW / tropo @ ~125 mi.

wow, you got about 1 buck of worth of iron on that magnet! That's free iron ore , which is quoted at major trading exchanges at 140 bucks per metric ton (today's price). This is free money lying on the beach. (a metric ton of iron is about 8 times smaller than a metric ton of water , considering the density)

I did recycle the scrap iron and remember it was 10 cents per lb. then. It's much lower now.
