nerd science - burning zinc metal

Common zinc metal and zinc casting alloys will burn brilliant blue using forced air on a wood charcoal fire.

I was melting zinc in my bqackyard furnace. the crucible leaked and some molten zinc fell into the hot flames. a blueish fume rose, and i thought i had started to meddle in the dark magics.

Cam sensor overload: just tape sun glasses front of the lens and it will solve the issue (If it is an issue). :)
