I had an unwanted pregnancy theme. Afraid ex is pregnant despite her getting her periods and a negative test and her telling me 5 months later that she isnt.
@EasyPeaceMeditation22 күн бұрын
@@itsaxel8088 Has this theme passed with time? Or still stuck? You clearly like to be sensible in these matters which in itself is a very positive trait. But it sounds like it’s gone into overdrive. I hope things are improving for you.

You should not react even a bit, even to the point where you know why these thoughts came, and you know that those thoughts are wrong, then what affirmation are you listening to, the voice inside you is saying That these thoughts are wrong, that is why you are feeling bad and worried.
@butola007Ай бұрын
Think of thoughts as clouds, they come and go, do not react even a bit, if they come again, do not react even then, think what would I be if there were no such thoughts?, the same negative thought will come again, Think carefully, if I don't have any thoughts then what am I, what is my goal, You will then understand that you are something else who has strayed from his goal,

Wow. Thank you so much! I have intrusive thoughts and I have been putting off exercising ( which I used to do all the time) because of some intrusive thought.. But like you said the brain is having thoughts to help me keep me safe.. But it will limit otherwise. So I'm goin to go for a jog and feel safe. And be totally fine. ❤ Thank you for these. They help so much. I won't let the ocd thoughts and anxiety ruin my life.

I just wished that this big black ant image in my mind will just go away forever and that my thoughts make me happy, please share some tips on how to get rid of that constant image please
@EasyPeaceMeditation3 ай бұрын
@@Kpopistherapy Trying to get rid of a thought will not work. It will stay longer. The key is in learning to accept the thought for what it is… A thought. No more or less important than the millions of other thoughts you have each day. Many, many years ago I had ERP therapy and this is the essential lesson. If you accept the thought for what it is, you take away its power and your mind will naturally wander onto other things.
@EasyPeaceMeditation3 ай бұрын
@@Kpopistherapy In OCD we give too much weight and meaning to our thoughts. Other people do not do this. All those other “normal” people you know are having the same scary thoughts. They just don’t feel particularly attached to their thoughts. So they are not as bothered.

I can’t believe this actually worked to help my racing mind. I’ve been dealing with high OCD the past couple of days. Finally, took some advice from the NOCD app. Didn’t even feel like 10 mins, and my ocd feels like it’s now at a level where I can sleep without panicking.

Best meditation ive ever come across and will listen to this every day for the rest of my life to remind myself thoughts are just thoughts. My intrustive thoughts latch onto my lack of self-worth that stems from a traumatic childhood. I am in therapy currently and on antidepressants to help calm my flight or fight response back down as its become, like you said in the video "an over-active car alarm". My psychologist and psychiatrist have both diagnosed me with PTSD and OCD. It makes sense. I had tried the natural route for so long though - working out 3 times per week, eating a balanced diet, moving to a less stressful job, (admittedly I was slack on the meditation which I will now change) and got to a point where I needed medical intervention after another big stressor in my life, and there is absolutely no shame in that whatsoever. This meditation is a great place to start and learning not to let the intrusive thoughts rob you of your peace or falsely rob you of your perception of your self - detach yourself from your thoughts because you are not your thoughts. Remember who you are, you are amazing and your thoughts do not define you ❤️ I wish you all peace and be kind to yourselves.

No shame in medication. I’ve been there. Recovery doesn’t need to be one thing. Ultimately it’s everything in the round. It sounds like you’ve been through a great deal. I’m really pleased this has been helping you. These aren’t the most successful meditations in the world but I love that they are reaching the people who need them. Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. Wishing you all the best in your continued recovery 🙂

If you’re intrusive thoughts are from OCD, ignoring them won’t help, get a therapist that does ERP therapy and get on medication if you need it, when intrusive thoughts enter your mind simply let them be, pushing them away will make them worse, maybe try responding like yeah maybe that’ll happen or maybe it won’t or even say these thoughts are real and true.
