One small, nerd correction... its not the same engine as R6, it's the engine from Thundercat. How ever, this engine was basically base from which R6 engine evolved. by the way, great video 😊

Hey nice video! im looking to buy a transalp 600 - 99 myself. And i was curious about how it handles on long distance Highway speeds and if you got any issues with hooking up electronics like gps, mobile and maybe some heated grips?
@neallontwowheels4612 Жыл бұрын
Hey! Long highway distances are no problem in my opinion. Yes it's viby, and don't expect to get to 200km/h in the blink of an eye 🤪 But it does the job perfectly fine! I only installed a gps and that was no issue at all. The Transalp is built in such a simple way that it's very easy to install accesoires. Hope this helps!

I have -90 Transalp. Nice, reasonable bike but I would like to have more power. Also the bike is little smallish to me, I'm 196 cm. Specially when riding with backseat ppassenger the bike feels very small. Only thing that has broke during 4 seasons is voltage regulator, they tend to brake at some point. Where I'm planning to make an upgrade is front brake, it's quite weak. Howevere, I'm not sure every component is ok, I'll strat by changing more solid hoses for it.

Just bought the exact same bike! I am not entirely sure on how to check the oil-level yet. maybe you can help me with this? I really like your video and the editing and the way you speak to the camera! keep up the good work! cheers
@neallontwowheels46122 жыл бұрын
Thankyou! :D Congrats with you Alp! Checking the oil level is super easy. On the right side of the engine, there's a black cap that you can screw off, there's a dipstick attached to it. Screw it out, clean it with a tissue, make sure the bike is standing vertically (so not on the side stand), dip in the stick (but do not screw it in) and see at what height there is oil in the stick. If you're still in doubt; there's an online version of the Haynes Manual, I'm sure that explains it in detail. Good luck!
