To really understand the best fit a network model needs to first be developed. It’s not as simple as understanding who’s digging up a road and then chucking in a few rain gardens and permeable services. A catchment level approach is how it should be done. Otherwise millions could easily be wasted with very little benefit.

This is Liv Garfield chief executive of Severn Trent water. Did you know this wench gets paid around £49,000 A WEEK. And did you also know there is NO LAW THAT SAYS YOU MUST PAY YOUR WATER RATES. This woman here will tell you there is but she would be LYING AND SHE KNOWS IT TOO. The only time you must pay your water rates and that is if YOU HAVE A BUSINESS. Now I my self will NO LONGER BE PAYING WATER RATES TO SEVERN TRENT WATER. I AM NOT MAKING PEOPLE VERY RICH LIKE THIS HERE LIV GARFIELD. AND THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. (AND THEY KNOW IT TOO)

Your company dumped hundreds of millions of litres of raw sewage into our country's waterways whilst you took home £3.2 million in a year. Rewarded for the worst kind of failure. You and your company are a disgrace. This country needs to urgently nationalise water management and get rid of these greedy, corrupt, shareholder driven companies.

Given that you're doing some new forest creation under the rewilding scheme, it would be interesting to try the Japanese Miyawaki forest planting methods for some small areas, to see how they compare with traditional methods.

You can tell in the tone and style of language that the SAB officer uses, the power has clearly got to his head. This is the problem to give one person (essentially the SAB officer in charge of a particular case) so much power that he or she can choose whether a development which has planning permission can go ahead or not. Ultimately its not about any specific legislation but more about what the SAB officer wants in any particular day.

In the UK we do pay for water. The sewage and water systems were originally built and owned by the public to serve the public. Then the Conservative party sold it into privatisation in the late 80's. Severn Trent's and this CEO's primary objective is to maximise profits for shareholders. Olivia Garfield's incentive is that she gets multi million pound annual bonuses for doing so. There's no competition for Severn Trent as only one water company serves each region in the UK so customers can't switch suppliers. You will find in most cases the biggest thieves and crooks are always the best dressed and well spoken.

We can all take solace in the fact that the green party and their ilk will be ran out of the government in the next General election the damage ye are posing on everyone in this country is disgraceful. There's nothing wrong with trying to cut carbon emmisions but you first have to put in place the alternative. By the actions of the Gp and their ilk you have driven prices of electricity and heating fuel trough the roof and added massive woes to the people and its easy know by your pay packets it hasn't hit any of you whatsoever so to prove this point you should be on no more than €300.00 a week and see how quick you are to implement more carbon taxes on ordanary working people

Here in NZ I phoned the city council to inquire about energy saving light bulbs do not belong in the rubbish bin. However the council said to dispose of them in rubbish bin. They contain mercury & they're just going into landfill.. Goes to show the whole things a sick joke at the expenses of the environment.
