This is the exact sound im lookin for on my mach 1. I also have an 03 azure blue. I have pypes exhaust on mine right now and i dont like the sound and ever since i got the car, the sound has changed and doesnt sound as aggresive anymore. Im thinking about getting these stingers now

I kept the Bullitt wheels when I sold my '98 GT. The +1" and bigger diameter and dish makes a big difference in looks. If I had an '03/'04 terminator Cobra, I would still upgrade to 18x10" Saleens or Bullitts again.

I love this sound! I just ordered my stingers and I've got It paired up with a BBK o/r x. Right now I've got glowmasters and it is way to high pitched for my taste. I bought my borla off amazon for 500$ that's the cheapest I had seen them.

How's the fitment at the manifolds? Have a BBK o/r x and it's a leaky sum bitch....didnt line up quite right, and needed some custom gasket work. I still cant see paying $500 for a mid pipe...

My brother's Mach 1 had a cheap X pipe with Magnapacks and sounded a lot like that. Very good sound and I actually liked the rasp on it (only car I've ever liked rasp on) but I could hear him from several miles away under full throttle. The only car around that sounded good even looking for a parking spot. Only problem is it attracts a lot of unwanted attention. Only gripe is why those wheels? The stock ones look good, those big chrome wannabe Torque Thrust Ds don't earn any point in my book.

I think I found my Borlas new on ebay for 379. I'd say whatever price you pay it's definitely worth it. Ur getting best quality and probably the most unique sound for a Mustang

Haha thanks! ya I got compliments from anyone like little kids to old ladies on the side walks at stop lights. So worth it! I did scrape though with the 2" drop. You do have to be more strategic as you go over speed bumps or old streets with grooves.

I never once got pulled over but it really depends on where you live. I've been followed home 1 time by cops after a Friday night shift but I live in a college town so they may have just been seeing if I was drunk driving

getting o/r Magnaflow x will definitely be raspier and louder but not as raspy as lower quality x pipes like BBK or Pypes. They were too raspy for my likes. Getting Mag or Bassani will have a cleaner sound

@GTwithSLPs ya this is the s type borlas. its pretty loud if you have additional exhaust work, especially an x/h pipe with no cats

Do you scrape your xpipe anyway with that drop? Looks great btw. Borla is the way to go. The sound and performance is amazing. It is worth saving up for, I get compliments daily. If you have a Bbk o/r x pipe with borla catback and a k&n CAI you will turn heads..

The borla stingers are the best you can buy that's why they're so expensive

Hey man if you're on the edge thinking about this setup I would say go ahead and do it! GT's will sound the same but not as "bubbly" at low rpm's but the x pipe (make sure its catless) and Borla style mufflers will give it a very similar sound. Go with Mag.TruX or Bassani x pipe. I had people follow me so they could ask what setup I had haha lots of complements.

Bugs me too so I actually did make a plate out of sheet metal and a dremel. Once you get your opening the right diameter its great!

@joselikescars oh ok. Well my mustang has magnaflow exhaust and x pipe, but i feel like the magnaflow are not loud enough for me and when i'm going 70 mph the drone is fades away and i want an exhaust that has drone all the time

@joselikescars this setup will sound just a litlle bit diferent, because the GT is 2V and the Mach 1 is 4V same of the cobra, but will sound nice you gonna like it!!!

Dang, do an IACV bypass or make a plate that has smaller holes on the IACV. That car sounds bad ass but takes 5 minutes to idle down LOL. Im not shit talking I promise. Just a pet peev thing I guess. I did it to mine and the idle-down goes down quick like a 12.1 compression 5.8 car.
