Do the business class seats on this aircraft lie flat? Looking into booking Barcelona to lisbon to Boston on A321 LR neo and TAP customer service said the business class seats do not lie flat. I am so confused as everything online is saying it does lie flat...

The flight numbers between Lisbon and Boston are TP215 or TP217. All aircraft that were used recently have 16 Business Class seats on board. This is the same configuration as in the video and therefore also lie-flat.

Because of the continuous lying surface this bed is more comfortable to lie on. The disadvantage is that you have to decide whether you want to lie down or sit. But I slept much better than in the A380 version.

There is no WiFi option on board EuroAtlantic Airways. However, also in the LOT aircrafts they dit not offer the WiFi option at the moment. With introduction of the new business class LOT will offer WiFi on board.

The color schemes were awesome and light to the eyes! Such a shame that this 3hr flight business class has better seating than Turkish’s Istanbul - Bangkok business class with almost no privacy at all.

What should you keep in mind to arrive at the airport 6 hours before departure and still complain that something is wrong in the business lounge... to eat for free and then complain about it again durin the flight LOL sorry, I don't buy it. If you want to be so precise, then the plane is almost 22 years old

We were happy that we were able to check in our luggage so early. This was possible because there was an earlier flight with LOT that day. We did not complain about the food in the lounge. We just mentioned that the selection is quite limited. It must be said that this is the international lounge of Air Canada's largest hub. In my opinion, you can already judge the food on board if you have eaten two of the three options. And I still believe that the food on board is not free. You pay for it with the ticket price.

Unlike Singapore Airlines' A350, for example, the A380 actually has a button that turns the seat into a bed.

Yes, because there is a continuous lying surface. This is more comfortable to lie on. The disadvantage is that you have to decide whether you want to lie down or sit. But I slept much better in the A350 version.

Of course this is possible in a cross-legged position. But it is more comfortable to turn the bed into a seat again when eating.

For a group of six or seven this is actually suited for you you would get most of the seat however one or two seats will be a random person. The other operator who has the same layout is Korean Air first batch B777-300ers. Since you did SIN-MNL the better option would have been taking SQ910/912/916/918 these are A350-941 B787-10 rarely B777-312/ER over PR510/508/502/512. If you want to go to New York City on B777-300er RP-C7775/7778 PR126 vs SQ 9V-SWA-SWT SQ25/26 this one needs you to leave MNL on SQ919/921.

Asiana seoul to seattle business class did not impress for two reasons: 1. They dont provide a comforter to sleep? Really so cheap? 2. Food is totally rushed, not served with love and care and crew shortly after completely disappears The food is good and service is good for the most part. Young flight attendants are hard working and eager whereas the purser and older attendants are mean rude and lazy.

I figured all the little touches were gone forever from first class after covid, but have been glad to see at least some of it came back. We often upgrade (my sister and I) because we're both fat ladies and at the end of the day, if you watch the prices, it's often a decent deal when you factor in what an extra seat would cost, luggage, cocktails and the meal. I know the meals aren't anything spectacular, but they beat the heck out of spending the money in the airport for equally mediocre food. We've gotten pretty spoiled with that 70 lb weight limit on bags too. Nice to not have to worry about it because we never even come close. I've been really nervous about upgrading on this particular flight though because the seats seem about as narrow as economy and I know it's an old plane. That said, with the 3-5-3 in economy, at least we won't be squished in and making a stranger uncomfortable or buying an extra seat. Sure wish it was just normal domestic first class so I knew for sure what I was getting myself into! Upgrade on one leg was only $139, stalking the price for the return flight but it's currently at $229 which is also not terrible. Extra seat + luggage + 4 cocktails total ends up making it about $90 round trip per person. That's also not factoring the meals, just leaving that out of it since I don't know if they'll suck or be at least edible. Some first class meals have actually been pretty good. Apologies for the length of the post, welcoming any advice on my thought process for all of the above. Thanks again for the vid!

I flew TA business 3 weeks ago due to Singapore cancelling my flight out of Istanbul I can tell you that it is nowhere near Best Business Class Airline. Even with the “on board Chef gimmick” they just didn’t cut it. Cabin staff were nowhere to be seen most of the time and when they were they didn’t ask if we would like a drink or snack, where do they see “Best Business Class Airline”? How did they rate it what did they use to formulate this absurdity. I wouldn’t fly Turkish Airlines again, especially in their outdated 1990’s configuration of 2 3 2, if you are seated in the window seat you literally have to jump over the passenger in the aisle seat to go to get to the bathroom. Awful business class.

Austrian is completely replacing all 777 and 767 with 787 in the next 5 years or so. All get a new business class. They won't update the old planes tho

then unfortunately you have never flown with Lufthansa.... that is a very, very old seat... and the service there is also very unfriendly and the food was also very bad, in contrast to Austrian.... great service and perfect food

After all there is a kind of non-alcoholic signature drink before start. I think that's perfectly fine. Some airlines do not even offer a water in business class before take-off.

@@upintheair-travel It's more about the nostalgic experience than alcohol. I've flown a lot of different carriers (domestic USA /abroad) and have always been offered something before gate departure. On another note, I always have a plan B no matter which airline I am flying such as a couple bottles of water and snacks I keep in my carry-on backpack. I've learned over the years to not be dependent on anyone.

Like you, I flew the Biz class on the A350, from Istanbul to San Francisco. It's a great hard product. Comfort with delicious catering. We had avocado soup offered, and for desert, a peach ice cream was offered. I am booked next week from Caoe Town to Istanbul on the 787-9. I have been told it is the same seat. Let's hope so. I have never worked out why the window is blocked off with the shell but isle is completely open - it looks like the seat is on the wrong side of the aircraft

In this case, you would have to construct four different seats and that is simply too expensive for the airline(s). But there are also airlines that have installed different seats for each place- for example EVA Air in their B787.
