Even working for a shop where you make commission or a weekly salary you can still easily pull between 50-80k a year. If you work for yourself you can push 100k plus. It’s not a profession that necessarily makes you rich belt you can make well above the average annual income in the United States without a lot sort of college degree and the tools needed are very cheap and can last very long before needing to buy new ones. I been tinting for nearly 8 years and I work for a shop on commission and earn roughly 65-80k a year, no degree required and you can get a job just about at any tint shop or work for yourself no matter where you move to state wise or country wise. The interview process is also very non formal and you just need to sell your skill to the employer by usually doing a car for them for free before they hire you. Sometimes you don’t even need to do that. The best part about it is that when a shop needs a tinter they are kind of in a desperate situation and you can very often get hired in the spot and you don’t need to do sny prep work in order to “practice” for the interview and can walk in in a t shirt and jeans for the interview. I will say that working for yourself definitely yields the most income but you also have to pay for everything including film. At a shop you earn less but there’s no headache and no responsibility for inventory or film so it’s really up to you. You can choose to go into business for yourself at pretty much anytime. The learning process is quite tedious though but if you keep at it and persevere you will nail it and you never have to worry about it ever again. It’s kinda like riding a. Bike once you get it

Thanks for the great video and information. I tried my hand with tinting car windows 20 years ago, never tried it again. I had no idea, soapy water and trimming first on the OUTSIDE of the window.

I have been tinting for 18 years and training people for 10 years. My own employees do this training course now It works 😁 it's not easy though but that's why the profit margins are so high

I'll probably only do this once in my life but the fact that you went so in-depth about potential pitfalls, made examples of stuff that beginners might do and how to correct it, clearly and effectively, here have a subscribe. Thanks so much! You actually make me want to try it.

Tinting is way harder than it looks is my experience. You need a good knife to get nice cuts and don't bother on warm to hot days. Remove as much trim and seals as possible, that bottom seal can be very hard to get tint past if the seal is tight.

When trimming the off cuts of your film is it okay to cut as you are doing on the actual individuals window? I assume it is okay because you have a stainless steel blade and maybe aren't applying to much pressure I presume?

Hey bro got a question, gor installed a ting about a week ago, looked good at install but its been way below freezinf with no sun, and theres some bubbling on my glass, some lookslike hard water spot, some just like bubbling between heating lines of rear glass, and even one what looks like line that I can feel. I assume that itll go away when weather get warm and sunny, what you think?
@TintSchoolOnlineАй бұрын
That should try if it's clear it'll dry it's just water but it will take longer in this colder weather

I’ve never seen anybody hate shrink while it’s on the inside of the window. I’ve always seen it done on the outside of the window, then just applied on the inside without the gun.

When I use to work at grocery stores they would had us clean windows with vinegar in order to clean the contamination apperantly it helps alot than just soap and water alone and eventually we would finish it of with soap and water could the same concept be applied in this case in order to prep the glass?
