So in EU, Netherlands for example, ASS is still not really interesting and a bit useless. As the 6m limitation is ridiculously short, it's about 1m longer than the model y itself. You said correctly: walk your car like a dog :))

Yeah you're right, except one thing - these are the first glimpses of how the FSD stack driving ASS reacts to European environment, cars, drivers, pedestrians... which is a huge deal for the FSD rollout!

Hello from Dublin, Ireland. Thank you for sharing your video footage. It is absolutely ridiculous the way the European Union are restricting FSD and its features in the European Union. I can’t help wondering how they’re going to abuse FSD when it comes to Europe in the first quarter of 2025. Ultimately, I believe they have been lobbied by the legacy manufacturers, mostly from Germany and are trying to protect them from looking foolish with their old-fashioned software. Which, as a result, Tesla software suffers. Regards Séamus

Hello! Great observation that might just be true. Regardless, I still have hope for actual FSD here that works as well as the US version. Just because it would be actively harmful and causing more accidents, injuries and deaths to try to slow down FSD.

IMHO pure vision based systems will never be allowed in Europe for autonomous driving. It's lacking redundancy other manufacturers can deliver by having two systems cancelling each other's mistakes. Similarly to aviation. Except maybe for lower speeds where cars can just stop in time when they are insecure about a situation due to blinding sun, dense mist, dirty cameras and so on.
@keyjin6542

Lidar is worse in fog because it travels through the fog twice. Radar isn't as high resolution and has weird echoes and refractions. Camera based vision can use UV and IR, at sensitivities that Human vision can't see. It can discern minute differences in contrast.

Thanks for the night time driving with Auto Pilot. I live in the US and do not want to pay extra for FSD. I have a 2023 Model Y (has only cameras) and I have tried the FSD 30 day trials - interesting - but not for me at this time.
