Cool video! I was wondering if you had any tips for soloing and how your soloes vary between styles/genres?
@sidyutube8 ай бұрын
ahh thank you! honestly, i'm still working on it, but generally I like a contrast between groove soloing and just chops and fast ideas.

Since I’ve seen it, Whiplash has easily been my favorite movie I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t tell you how many recreations of the ending cover I’ve seen but this is by far one of the coolest fucking ones. Rivals Greyson Nekrutmans on cool factor.

Every now and again i have a student who says " can you teach me the solo " and i always think yeaaa it cant be that hard , then ill play them the first part have them follow and realise yea for most people its quite hard . Fair play young un you did well , you should do this as a job if you dont already. Where are you based ?
@CaspianMagal-tp8tv10 ай бұрын
That was one of the most impressive and incredible things I’ve seen in while. My dad showed me the movie and I’ve rewatched it many times. He’s also frequently quoting things like “not my tempo” so it’s embedded in my brain. It would be fun to imagine you just did this on the spot but the effort it takes to memorize the solo is incredible…
