They only ever have Spring flowers...(unlike the Chinese, from whom the Japanese received these ideas of gardens),, which I find ultimately to be limited in terms of nature. It's all very beautifully shaped...but ...?
@motherlandbot68372 жыл бұрын
Summer blooming Japanese Iris, herbaceous and tree peonies, Asian Lotus, macrophylla Hydrangeas, Spider Lilies, native rubrum and auratum lilies, fall blooming Chrysanthemums? Along with the autumn foliage display? The traditionally favored flowers and plants in Japanese gardens, such as pines, bamboos, flowering plums, Asian Lotus, Azaleas, and Chrysanthemums, are traditional Buddhist "noble plants" from Chinese gardening traditions. However, Japanese garden traditions have diverged drastically from those in China and Korea. Additionally, plants either not native to East Asia, or unimportant in traditional East Asian horticulture, such as roses, dahlias, Kochia, etc., are now very important in Japanese gardens and parks. Japan now has better rose gardens than any Western country that I have visited, and most of these are modern repeat flowering roses that bloom from summer until frost, thanks to their part China rose ancestry.

I want to thank you for taking the time to watch the video. The Shinzen Gardens were kind to let my wife and my sister and I capture some of the unique beauty that the gardens has to offer. Of course, nothing captures the experience like being there in person...but we tried very hard to recreate the experience through video, pictures and music as best we could. In return, this video was our gift to the gardens to help promote the gardens. I also got permission from the music artist himself to use his music royalty free for the video. This would enable the gardens to play the video anywhere without any copyright infringement. I can't tell you how pleased I am that so many people are viewing this video. I only wish that one day everyone could have the opportunity to visit the Shinzen Japanese Gardens in Fresno. But if you can't get there...then we are happy to bring the gardens to you. I thank you again for watching...and thank the Shinzen Japanese Gardens at Woodward Park for who they are...and what they do. Please tell a friend to watch this video...hopefully they will be inspired to one day pay a trip to the gardens to see for themselves the beauty we captured with our cameras. Lare Austin

Another deeply reflective meditation on Yosemite by the poet of video, Mr. Lare Austin. The treasure of our national park comes alive as the Winds of Spring breathe new life into the mountain streams. You can almost hear the spirits of our ancestors echoing through the valleys and rivers. Thanks for the precious moments of peace and centering of Soul.

Thank you for the very kind comment, Richard. Yosemite is indeed a very special place that awakens the spirit and soul. And to be able to capture a fraction of it to photographs and video...well...it is all, and will continue to be, a very humbling experience. Thank you for watching...I am so glad we could share...Lare
