I have that tent, never used it, been in a cupboard since I bought it, I might sell it for £1000, any takers?😜👍
@Gymnure4 ай бұрын
I am still using mine about 20 years on from when I bought it. Had rain for most of this bank holiday weekend and I was still snug and dry. Definitely worth repairing and maintaining when stuff eventually starts to break on it. So far mine is still going strong and I haven't needed to do anything. I look after it well though. Cracking little tent.

Great video, nice to see others respect to the surroundings rather than spoil it using bright tents, tarps etc. You also feel more at one with nature and see more wildlife 👍

If I ate those dehydrated meals I'd be smushing the pack to rehydrate it. One, it makes sure its well mixed but... Two, and more importantly to me, warms your wanking spanners up :-D Especially in cold weather, you can't do enough to keep your hands warm and fingers mobile. 👍 KZbins just suggested your older vids so I'll be binging marra.

So So So glad I came across this because after many many hours of looking and finding and many many other things I have bought this tent to go to the I.O.M. T.,T. for 15 nights and at 70 years young did not want to come home a criple !! I also had to take into acount the weight and size? As we all know a 2 man tent is a one man tent and a 3 man tent is a 2 man tent etc etc etc ?? Well I think we know ?? I have not even set it up yet so this vid is a gift from the gods so to speak !! All I can say is thankyou so so much for the up load it has given me so much more confidence in my future chalenge using the Gobi 3 Might even give back a little by telling everyone how I got on !!
@listairgin8 ай бұрын
Hi there Allan, how did you get on with the Gobi 3 tent? Was it a success? 😉👍🏻
@allanhughes78598 ай бұрын
Hi there its a great little tent !! The only thing I felt was the weight although not a heavy tent it is heavier than the original format. But and a big but if doing a lot of riding and camping would go with this without doubt.If the truth were known being a one trip to the T.T. did not give me a chance to load un load and load again and thus the way I loaded the bike was all wrong I will be giving it a true camping holiday this year and I am sure it will be what the Doctor ordered !!Hope that answers your question "probably not" as I do yakel on L.O.L............@@listairgin

@@allanhughes7859 Thanks so much for the reply Allan, I think I will probably go for the Cub 2 man version as I plan to be more of a one night stop and go type tripper . If I was stopping anywhere for a fortnight then I really do understand how the 3 man would be the answer. I really appreciate your comment on its weight etc. Thank you 😉👌🏻. Ride Free 🏞🌅🛣🌄

That's the best review of a tent I've ever seen. Just found your channel today and took delivery of the 2022 Slumit grizzly yesterday. I got sick of feeding fibreglass tubes thru sleeves, then trying to extract them afterwards. The tent was somewhat easily erected but still waiting for the upper body strength to complete the action. Don't think I'll ever get the tent as small as it was when I unpacked it. I think once I've used it a few times I'll get it sorted. A large tent inside, bit like a Tardis.Looking forward to my next rally. Thanks Maverick. Had to subscribe.

Thanks for the instructional video. I bought an MOD ''BAG, WATER FILTER, [Millbank Type] / 5 Gallon / 122-2025 / F93 / SL32A /5982'' and was wondering how to use it. [Five Imperial Gallons of 4.2 L, not US Gallons of 3.8 L.] Same green color, but bigger. At first, I thought of putting ground-up BBQ charcoal in the tip of the bag for filtering, but I see that's not necessary, as the water has to be boiled to be safe anyway.

Are you still selling this Pete?
@MINDWISEMAN2 жыл бұрын
Sadly not at the moment due to past 2 years restrictions etc. Mainly due to special high tech adhesives being hard to acquire, they're not same quality as original due to lack of production of specific ingredients. Also lack of mil grade tri laminate pvc being used for big production factories, where as my canoe workshop is specialist bespoke. In future I'll video update if things hopefully change. Cheers.

2008, ebay. Nowadays many variations regards colour & sizes. Generally quality is good all round, albeit like anything - sometimes an item can be not as good as an original. Mine's held up to many wild camps like first day used. Recently got myself 6x4 mtr for bigger footprint pitch or car cover. Cheers.
