Use silicone products specifically indicated for brake caliper lubrication. Silicone brake lubrication products can include ceramic particles, for added temperature resistance. Any product containing petroleum distillates will swell rubber parts, so read the lubricant product label, which must state whether it contains petroleum distillates..

Thank you. I wanted to know one simple question. Should I add distilled water only or distilled water and battery acid (sulfuric acid)?? Most of these videos and generally all these Mr. Fixit videos have one gigantic problem. Video maker speaker wants to be a MOVIE STAR. We are watching videos to fix a problem. It would be far better if we only see equipment to be used, tools, things needed and thing to be fixed rather than speaker’s face. The viewer wants to get his question answered. To maintain the battery you need a battery tester, distilled water and sulfuric acid. Just ask for sulfuric battery acid at the Auto Zone or O’Reillys. Call around some carry it. Some do not. Thank you.

Ok, I just had a new garage door installed and the opener will not close. It worked before the new door was installed, in fact that's how i opened the door to let the installer in. He pulled the release to disengage the opener from the door. Than pressed the button to open the door. Now the door will not close. The sensors lights are lite, The door lights do not blink. It just moves about 8" and than goes back. I tried disconnecting them , that didn't work, I tried realigning them, that didn't work. I tried holding the button in longer, that didn't work either. What should i try next??

Great video, I just subscribed. Have you ever taken out the outer pinion bearing to examine it, after removing the seal. There are at least two videos on YT that shows the guy reaching in and taking out the bearing to examine it for pitting, that gives the famous whining noise. Other people say that it's an interference fit and difficult to remove. Thanks.

Thanks. I got a Nuvi 1300 working again. A couple of things. Click more to expand the box below the video. There are links to the websites to download programs needed. I got an error message when I tried to combine the Northeast USA map and the South map. I ended up just renaming each file to gmapsupp and gmapsup1. Would have liked to have the whole USA map. Also I created a restore point on my computer before downloading anything and after I finished with the maps I restored my computer to the restore point. I'm scared of getting something malicious installed on my computer. I did scan the files with malware bytes and window defender... but who knows how good that works. The Nuvi is supposed to have life time maps, however, Garmin express will try to load a map file larger than 4GB and it fails. Of course it wipes out the map you do have and renders the GPS totally useless. Gee, do you think Garmin knows that the file is too big? One question, why maps from this site and not from some place like open street maps?

Sadly, here in Norway, H202 is a more or less a controlled substance. You can get pretty high quality high quality tiny bottles of the stuff from the chemists but at a price. Last I checked a 100ml, a tenth of a quart, was an insane $10. The only thing I have found at a fairly reasonable price is the stuff hairdressers use for bleaching hair. The problem though is that it is a 9% sollution but mixed with some white creamy emulsion thickner and as such it does not work very good as a RetroBrite agent. Maybe someone here knows how to "clear" it? Get the pure H202 out of this cream?
@TutorialGenius9 күн бұрын
It's strange they sell 9% but not 3%! People have reported good results with that creamy 9% stuff. Personally I haven't tried it, I imagine it would cause streaking.

is there any alternative... Maybe something that would connect directly to the car battery?
@TutorialGenius16 күн бұрын
Rather than fixing the heater? To be honest, I like the idea of running some big cables through the firewall and connecting an inverter, then just running an AC heater from that. Obviously you would need to make sure it's kinda safe haha. Only because an inverter would be very useful for many other things

Thanks for the video. I wonder whether we can gauge only one cylinder and adjust the same number of degrees for the other two cylinders in the same bank. My 2007 Vue @128k miles did not seem to need IN lash adjustment. EX needed 1/4 turn (90 degrees) loosening. I have not done Bank 1 yet because Bank 2 was easy. No need to take off air intake manifold. With 2 O2 sensor harnesses disconnected (S1 needing tab pushed out, S2 in), the cover is completely unhindered by wires. My all 6-cylinder misfire symptom didn't improve. Bank1 slightly rich (-7%). Bank 2 always lean (15%). Misfire always happens when engine is cold. Rough idle improves when engine is fully warm. I plan to replace intake manifold gaskets and adjust Bank 1 lashes.

I have a Mercedes CLS 500. I changed the bearing and hub on the front. Both sides left side is reading sporadically even when not in motion with key on right front I’m getting nothing. I changed the wheel speed sensor as well. Nothing I put an original hub on there with another original sensor and still nothing, by the way, I do have active because when I check the female harness to the ABS with Keon, I’m getting a reading of 24v. Any recommendations or want to check next would be so much appreciated and thank you for that that video
@TutorialGenius17 күн бұрын
Sporadically sounds a little confusing and hard to troubleshoot! Perhaps plot of a graph and get some analogue readings with different RPMs. If it's only one corner, then follow the wiring and do a continuity test, that's probably the cheaper option to get started with a diagnosis

Do you have a video of the driver side? I feel like my driver side axle is to short and that the knuckle is running on the edge of the steel housing.
@TutorialGenius17 күн бұрын
Sorry im a little confused with what is rubbing on what. Are they the original wheels?
@DIYStangsandFreedom17 күн бұрын
@TutorialGenius sorry, they actually call it the inner race or also known as the spider roller. That part is on the edge of the housing. But anyways I figured it out. It turns out that my Oriellys Part #SN-8015 was way too short and would fail immediately upon driving and making left u-turns. I ordered a driver side axle from AutoZone and it worked out perfectly. The AutoZone one was actually a little bit longer than the Oriellys one. I don't recommend the Oriellys cv axles if you have a 07 2.2L with a manual transmission.
@TutorialGenius17 күн бұрын
@@DIYStangsandFreedom Sometimes they don't distinguish the correct trim/trans. It's not necessarily O'Reilly's fault as it's probably made in China anyway, but certainly the person that sold it to you should have checked properly. There's a lot of different flavors depending on the trans MJ7/MJ8 etc etc
@DIYStangsandFreedom17 күн бұрын
@@TutorialGenius I can see how that could be the case, but it wasn’t for me. I went through three O'Reilly CV axles, and all had the same issue. I even posted about it in the Facebook Saturn Vue Group, where another person reported the same problem. If you have AWD or an automatic transmission, you might not encounter this issue. You mentioned MJ7/MJ8, which are for AWD Saturns. However, in my case, I have a manual transmission-specifically the 5-speed Getrag F23 (MG3). For anyone with a manual transmission Saturn, I’d recommend avoiding O'Reilly CV axles altogether or just rebuilding your original one.

As I understand it there are two ABS wheel sensor faults. One when you turn the ignition on and the ABS dashboard light remains hard on. Two when you turn the ignition on the ABS dashboard light goes out but then when the car begins to move the ABS light comes on. The first fault I assume its not seeing the resistance and the second fault it is seeing the resistance but not the AC Voltage
