I'm kinda puzzled why IK chose not to integrate a basic audio interface, or why they included a mic, yet no onboard mic input. anyone who spent more than $500 on speakers could benefit from room correction, and they aren't all content producers with Apogee Duets on their desk already. rooting for them to improve in the next one.

I felt that mic B was the 57, it was the difference in brightness (the 57 is a bit brighter than the sm7b). I believe it is partially due to the distance from the foam to the capsule in each- the sm7b has more of an air gap between the foam and the capsule since the capsule is set back. However, the EQ did help them to be closer- and honestly both would be completely usable because I have literally never used one of these mics on a vocal without some sort of drastic EQ.

I have a Focusrite 18x20 and like the AIR on voice, dont use it for anything else. I'm adding a ssl 12 to my setup (mostly for mobility) and I think I'll keep the mics running through the Focusrite going into the ssl through ADAT, and keeping those Hi Z inputs free to use with instrument signals that can probably benefit from the 4k button. With all due respect and nothing against the lad who made this video, Focusrite as a company should be closed and all the execs dropped in a prison cell for false advertisement, fooling customers and worst service on the planet; not to mention WORST products on the audio industry for recording muscisians. Hey, been exploring a bit of audio stuff and found out your channel. I've recently heard about audiophile switches and knowing how ethernet works I'm pretty sure they are complete BS. Definitely the digital signal quality has zero impact on the audio quality as long as all the bits are transmitted, but another part of the praise for audiophile switches is the fact that they also have have less electronical noise which could interfere with the audio... now, that to me seems at least plausible, but I doubt we're talking about perceivable difference (unlike what some people hear claiming au switches improve sound stage, claritiy and all that), but wouldn't it be possible to measure if there is any difference by simply feeding the output of various lan connected DACs to an input and record it?

How about Tascam Portacapture's instead of these antiques.

Although I like behringer products I'm still going to buy sm57s the money you save with the slc won't last you more than 1 day but the sm57 will last you a lifetime. Great review thank you.

So I went to buy headphones so I could listen to what I recorded because the speakers SUCK So this old fashioned wagon wheel isn’t Bluetooth!!!! So best headphones I could find were 50$ Sony with the wire Sounds sooo cheap Tried adjusting the bass it’s just plus minus I can’t reccomend this crap

Hi Julian have you tested the PreSonus 1810c ?...i have bought one, seems fine but i do not know if it is a good 4 mic or 2 mic & 2 instrument interface with a theoretical 18 inputs & 10 outputs, 2 headphone inpits with own volume pots, is it alright to use Quad cable from interface to active monitors, PreSonus Eris8 XT's with class A/B analogue internal amps...any advice or knowledge you could tell me about the 1810c would be appreciated....thank you...

Better than Audient iD4 MKII ?

Spent over 10 years with Focusrite technical support and their engineers. Couldn't make their interfaces stable - random system freezes (Kernel debug dump always showed death inside Focusrite driver). Switched to MOTU, and all my Audio Workstations have been 100% rock-solid 24/7 for a year now.

That was incredibly formative thank you! I always felt the H1N mics sounded bright, now I undersstand why
