Out of all the big channels and all their non stop talking and bullshit You’re far better! Would love to have a jpeg of the schematic. Bastl has a dopeee schematic of their 8step sequencer makes life super easy but I can follow regular schematic too. God bless!

Hello. Is there anyone that can share the instructions for building the Jasper? I bought an assembled one used and I’d like to add the gate input. I don’t know how that should be connected, as I have no idea what T, S, and G are on the board. Currently, S and T are shorted and G goes nowhere (for normal keyboard operation). Can anyone help out?

just getting into fm and most "here's some dx7 sounds and how i made them" vids are mostly like daft punk synthwave or like vangelis movie score sounds or something. this however slaps and covers a lot of ground for the types of sounds ive been trying to figure out

Ive breadboarded the efm version and although it sounds great I cant get the filter to close all the way. Any tips?
@AdamTheAd-vanc3d
@AdamTheAd-vanc3d Жыл бұрын
Yes I had this problem. Try this .... disconnect r22 from being directly to -v, by putting a trimmer 100k in its place, centre of trimmer to r22 first. Then one side to minus voltage and the other to ground. If this doesn't work try doing this with one side to plus voltage and other end ground instead . Now turn your cutoff to ground and turn the trimmer as far as the filter closes towards ground. Once it's pretty much closed . Now use yours normal cutoff control to open see what you get. If this doesn't work al the try changing the values of r22 still connected to the centre point of trimmer. Let me know.

NEVER buy the chapest, always check evaluations and how long supplyer has been doing what he does. it's not for a couple bux, but personally i have been going CRAZY with ciruits not working, to at the end ernd up by understanding the chips dont work proper (74's ending up being 324 for example)... that's really anoying. when you got a cheap pile of chips,n keep it in mind when testing your circuits. but nevertheless, sometimes you can get good bargains because chinese are remaking very trad chips because they know how they are inside, we aint in 84 no more...

All very true and extremely good points. Sometimes its pot luck. You get some sellers charging a premium for a part which is fake in one way or another, so sometimes you can't always go by price. Yep had the same issues before where I was literally following a circuit schem to a T and couldn't work out why it wouldn't work, all because of a cheap faulty chip

I was sent the same ones. They have the 36 number on them. Same thing, they don't work and they just get hot. I experimented and tried one out in a circuit that uses MN3207. It worked! Some of them were dead because I fried them, but the rest are fully functional MN3207's. 20 years ago I got a bunch of MN3005's and realized that they were actually MN3008's with the tops sanded off and re-stamped. You can actually see traces of the original, authentic stamp from when it said 3008. Too bad they don't sell the chips for what they really are!

Adam, thank you for another demo! IMHO, if you'll connect with some "STM guy" then together you'll be able to make some legendary devices... Like some analog groove-box. I'm just imaging an "Analog Four" with more features including a wavefolder for each channel, analog hat's engine (which is pretty simple and can be added to a VCO) and without it's strange limitations. You'll be able to start a small company to make synths that will be real deals :) Of course you already can make a company and start with "simple" analog machines... As I see from the others, the true difficulties starts when you're dealing with factories. You need to check their work and then assemble (or check another work of an assembling factory). P.S. HSync + Wavefolder sounds very unique!
