It thinks the kitten is its baby. Hence the protective behaviour.

Iv had rotties and one of them i trained for protection, taught him to attack fake intruders that were wearing a bite suit, he was trained to only bite on command and he was very obedient with it. If i let him bite he takes it very serious and give his everything to attack with all his power and onced i give the command to stop he stops immediately. Amazing around kids of all ages, very patient and protective of toddlers, he fallows them around but doesn't interfere with what they are doior playing, he just has the instinct to protect them. Very well trained, also trained to bark and growl viciously on command to scare any threat we come across. He will bark ferociously on command to intimidate any threats to get them to back off or if need be hes ALWAYS ready for the command to attack! He is trained better than most service dogs because i dedicated 2 years of me staying home to trahim from 7weeks old. Everything consisted of hard training. Training a protection dog like i have, you must encourage aggression at early age but jas to be well balanced, let them be vocal, let them growl, let them try to play bite and play attack you BUT show them you are much stronger and faster and can pin them down like nothing. Shows them that your not just mommy or daddy, your also alfa. As your teaching all these things keep kids around and show them they are babies and to be gentle and they will be gentle and loving to kids. My fully trained rottie lets the kids ride him, even if the kids accidentally hurt him by stepping on a ear or something he will yelp if it hurts bad he will yelp and just get up so it cant happen again, hwle knows it was innocent and an accident. My dog is a monster and very capable of really hurting someone or another animal that puts is at risk he is well trained to defend his family thqt he loves more than anything. Hes very well balanced. Hes an indoor guard/ protection dog that is just a normal EXTREMELY SWEET LOVING ANGEL FROM ABOVE also knows he has a job to do and thats protect his family.. The kods crawl all over him, he growls when hes happy and growls if he doesn't like something and its really cute and funny but he would never in a million years bite or hurt a family member or kid. The kids can put their face and hands right at his food bowl and he does nothing, same with toys and bones. He play growls with toys and bones And the cutest thing is that he growls when he's happy or excited lol especially if you tell him he a good boy in a sweat baby voice and give him rubs hugs and pets he growls lol he's just vocal lol And that's how I trained him i encouraged the barking , biting, growling for his protection training. The important thing is though, have to let them know to only get actually aggressive towards strangers or intruders. I let him bark at every soul that walks past our house and when in the car it's his favorite in the world to bark at people to keep them back from the vehicle and his family.. and the biggest and most important thing is that he has to respect and obey to your commands immediately

He was trained beyond belief, he was trained on leash very well, he was trained to keep his front legs in line with my legs so he's beside me not in front of me by using the command "heel" on or off leash if commanded he would walk at my side, also would let him run off to be a normal dog and go ahead of me to sniff explore and run to play by saying "go" but as soon as I say "HEEL" he's right back beside on or off leash. So no pulling like most dogs. My 4 yr old walks him all the time. He is trained to ignore other people and other animals while we are out walk (no matter how tempting it is for him he won't budge. Sometimes if it's a squirrel that I know he can't catch I'll release him by saying 'go get em' just so he can have a little fun because our walks are usually all business, once iv seen him chase for a little bit I call him right back, he stops on a dime and immediately to my heel/side. Not all dogs can be trained this well though it's only certain ones that need to be naturally aggressive and protective, if you find one that shows the right aggression potential, it also has to love pleasing its owner and have respect for the owner, willing to learn commands and fully obey those commands no matter what, ND no matter what they must have ability to overlook potential distractions

Why are you trying to aggravate him as opposed to helping him to grow into a sweet animal. Any dog would have a negative outcome with this treatment, and just think all for entertainment sake!!😈
