Is it true that you have to line up at the entrance at 3am to get into the new Fantasy Springs? I’m planning on going in December, will that still be the case?
@stevenanddiep
@stevenanddiep 20 күн бұрын
You can get the Standby Passes and Disney Premier Access passes to get into Fantasy Springs once you enter the park. Because they run out really quickly, people line up super early so they can be one of the first to enter the park at around 8:30am. I'm not sure what it will be like in December unfortunately. It depends on how popular it is then. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Thank you for your video. I am not sure which ticket I should purchase. Day 1 I will arrive in a hotel at Disney land in the evening, I will need to take the mono rail. Day 2, enjoying Disney sea, need to take mono rail. Day 3, enjoying Disney land, need to take mono rail. Day 4, leaving in the morning, need to take the mono rail. In my case, do I need to buy the 3 days or 4 days pass? Although I will be taking monorail over 4 different days, but I will only be using it over 72 hours period. Thank you for your clarification
@stevenanddiep
@stevenanddiep 20 күн бұрын
From a quick calculation, it looks like you'll be using the monorail 6 times? If so, it would be worth it with the 3 or 4 day pass. You could get the 4 day pass, or you could buy a single fare the first day and buy a 3 day pass for the rest of your time there. I only looked at it quickly though. Your best bet is to calculate how many times you'll be taking the monorail which costs 300 yen each single ride, and compare it to the day pass cost which is 1200 yen for a 3 day pass, and 1500 yen for 4 day pass.

I don't think how you rated Australia quite fair. Why would it be fully stocked with "rice" or "fried chicken"? You should've seen if the store had a selection of food that Australians can eat out of convenience. I'm Asian too but I would never assume convenience stores outside Asia should predominantly have "rice" or "noodle" based dishes. Have you even travelled? It's like if a European came to Japan and said the selection is 5/10 because it didn't have bread and cheeses (white bread is never considered bread to them). That obviously doesn't make sense when 7/11 in Japan has a variety of food for Japanese to eat out of convenience.
@stevenanddiep
@stevenanddiep Ай бұрын
You definitely have a point. The selection isn't bad. We explain more in the full video but it's hard to fit a full explanation in a 60 second short. The thing is I'm Australian and I want our convenience stores to be as good as Asia. I want them to be good so badly. Myself and the people I know don't really go to convenience stores in Australia whereas in Asia people do because the selection is so good and so affordable. I'm pretty sure if convenience stores make good fried chicken here, it would fly off the shelf. Fried chicken isn't really an Asian food. Anyway, this is just my take on it.
@7663226
@7663226 Ай бұрын
@@stevenanddiep I get that, but it won't ever be like Asia because the market isn't the same. In Australia, because it is more of a car-dependent society compared to some Asian countries, if I was to hop into a car, I'll be hitting up a fast food restaurant or a good mom and pop shop for food instead of a convenience store since I'm already making the effort to drive around. So comparing the two will never be fair in my opinion. Look at London for example, which has the tube. They have amazing selections of food in their convenience stores and even the people rank which convenience store is better because they are a more public transit society. If Australia works on their public transit system to a point that it's comparable to other cities like Tokyo (so not ever needing a car to get around the same places a car can), then I can see a big market to bettering the convenience store like in the big cities of Australia.
@stevenanddiep
@stevenanddiep Ай бұрын
@@7663226 You make very fair points tbh. Sadly it's hard to be that nuanced in a short video. I can see it being more discussed like that if we had a podcast format. And 5/10 sounds harsh but you can maybe think of it like the Japanese system. 5/10 is neither good nor bad in my eyes. It's just okay. Like you said, I'd rather have fast food chain or a local shop because of the price and convenience.
@7663226
@7663226 Ай бұрын
@@stevenanddiep I guess the part that mainly irked me in your short was the mention of lack of "rice and fried chicken" in an Australian 7/11 to equate as a "low selection". It came off as uninformed or a bit ignorant in cultural differences in my opinion is all. So it's not necessarily that all the things I mentioned should be squeezed in a short (as we all know is impossible) but your wording gave the impression of someone who isn't interested in giving fair reviews. I do agree that western convenience stores don't typically contain healthy options but as someone living in Japan right now, a lot of Japanese equate convenience store food as also unhealthy as there are preservatives in them so that they can last long on store shelves too. Korea is also the same in this mindset. And Australian sandwiches aren't necessarily worse in nutrition in comparison to their rice "counterparts" in Japan and Korea.
@stevenanddiep
@stevenanddiep Ай бұрын
@@7663226 I guess it's my bad that my delivery isn't good enough to convey that it's supposed to be tongue in cheek. The line about lack of fried chicken and rice balls was supposed to be funny but I guess it didn't come across that way. I do think that the reviews are fair in that they're my subjective assessment. Honestly, if you walk into a Japanese or Korean convenience store, and then walk into an Australian one. The actual variety is night and day.
