Ruddick had such an unusual style. He had a wicked uppercut and left hook, and deceiving power. He truly was a great heavyweight.

Around about then, Ruddock was considered the best heavyweight around outside of Tyson and Holyfield. Then Tyson took a fight with Ruddock a few months after this..

And then he celebrates so excitedly what a prick this is. This is my first time getting introducdd to this man and I find him a completely dispicable. His speech after the fight was some bullshit. When he was asked why he did it first time, after tride to filibuster then when asked again the first thing the idiot says is, after umming and umming, "im frustrated because the other good fighters are ducking me" Then he finally sorry and chalks it up to the fact that boxing is brutal. Clear that Ruddock had serious technical deficiencies. Got found out at elite level. This win against Dokes turned out to be the biggest of his career. Massively overrated.

Far from being crushed. Tyson ducked him and fought Douglas when he had a contract to fight ruddock. At that time ruddock would have destroyed Tyson.

Great piece, my man!!! I can add that i once read an interview with Dan Inosanto where he did mention that Bruce and Gene use to "pal around" with each other. So apparently they were friends.
