I remember sitting on my grandparents patio in the summertime watching CBS - the one channel that came in clear - on maybe a 13 inch TV. When Ruddock hit Odum after the bell, and it went to commercial, my grandfather, who rarely said anything - blurts out “What the h3ll was that?” Then after Ruddock murdered Mike Dokes at MSG, I assumed he was gonna cakewalk his way past Tyson. Didn’t happen but…good effort.

Razor Ruddock was like the Black Gerry Cooney. He only had one punch that his opponents had to worry about. A man as big and strong as Ruddock should have been able to dispose of Mike Tyson, but his one-dimensional fighting style prevented that from happening. A steady jab and a follow-up right cross were required to defeat Tyson, but Ruddock apparently never heard of those punches. 🤦♂

Ruddock was left handed but fought orthodox (southpaw was looked upon very badly back then). He didn't have a hard right hook to land in a right hand cross

Lennox was a Great Fighter maybe the best of the 90's and early 2000's but those 2 wins plus the Mental Break Down of McCall in the rematch Not to mention his inability to STOP or SERIOUS DAMAGE a near 40 YEAR OLD Evander Holyfield in BACK TO BACK FIGHTS Given his enormous size advantage (6'5 240 - 245 pounds) and power advantage (A NUKE for a Right Hand) is why Lennox Lewis is the Larry Holmes of the his era. Great but lack luster.......like Holmes.

Yeah I agree I also want to point out my problem with lewis is lewis only has 44 fights,41 wins he simply wasn't tested enough, his admirers put him next to Muhammed ali, when ali had 61 fights....lewis went 44 fights where he beat every opponent he faced, but ali went 59 fights(ali didnt avenge his 2 losses to holmes and berbick, when he was washed up),so thiers no comparison....let's judge tyson on his 44 fights,he would of retired after he beat Bruno the second time, that means tyson would of never fought holyfield or even bruce seldon,he would of retired with only one loss....lewis wasn't tested enough with only 44 fights

I would have liked to have seen the scheduled Ruddock vs. Vitali Klitschko fight; too bad that Ruddock had to pull out of that one on late notice.
