ironically, bactrian royal guard have an ability that increases their charge bonus I think they are the only spear unit that has that ability which makes them good on the offensive

Really nice battle, it was nice to play as polish army, glad I could get it cause I really love playing with Poles ♥ On the Imperial side we knew that our right flank will bear the brunt and focus most of Coalition's army so I just focused on my arty hitting right targets which at the beginning was enemy horse guns (but I got really angry since my big battery couldn't score a hit and believe me, I've tried manually target in front and behind it and nothing worked, only few crewmen killed). And I knew I need to be as least active and visible to the enemy, that I can't bring much attention to myself. So I just scouted and prepared my units to march into designated place on left flank as fast as possible when I give the order. When I gave it, I needed to soften them up with light infantry but they softened themselves up cause fight on the right flank already lasted really long so coalition grouped most units there or against a Suchet. Player playing Suchet really hurried me up but I knew that I need to do it in the right moment or it wouldn't work at all. When I softened them up thanks to my light infantry it was time for my grenadier and other line infantry charge that got best melee stats. Their line faultered really fast, when it did I was ready to pour lots of units in that breakthrough along with cav that we could have 2 by rules. All this happened while units on my right and in battle's center were sacrificed to keep even more units of coalition center still near the building and guarding the river crossing that I never wanted to use. After another small vicotories following the breakthrough it was already obvious what happened - melee and keeping the fast pace of it. Coalition players really didn't liked that scenario, well it could've been on other map, also they could choose other strategy and defend other position. But even in the same scenario it was winable. Lots of coalition's infantry didn't used the ditch they had, they could ofc manuver better and be bolder with charges at the guns, they could take sappers. To be honest I was sure I'm gonna lost that game, I'm better defensive player so being on French side was bad news even though I got my fav Poles. But somehow it worked and my patience was worth it. Thank you Pope, really nice that you've decided to publish that scenario ♥ Really good game and great commentery as always, it let me see battle that I knew from different perpective.
