You guys should react to the fan made song “Turn It Down” It has the person who voiced Delores singing the song and is about her and her gift! It’s so so good!! And feels so in place with the rest of the film

I just realised when Mirabel says she “would move the mountain, make new trees and flowers grow”, She DOES! What she does for her family later in the film to facilitate healing for her family. She moved mountains by making her family confront their trauma and made new trees and flowers grow by helping them all to rebuild their family bonds!!

Also, I wanna draw attention to the end when Luisa pushed the cerebus with her finger and juggled the ship on her bicep, both things she was terrified of facing in the earlier part of the song. I’m just realising that this shows how she has to make the things she faces appear to her family vra how she really deals. And how she managed to overcome her fears to protect her family. This movie is so freaking insane. So many years later and I’m STILL only just noticing some things!!! The levels and levels of detail hidden in each scene makes it one of the best Disney films ever made

Mirabel’s real gift was that she heard her family’s individual confessions and struggles and not only was able to empathise but also realised the impact of her own actions towards their suffering. You can see it when she sees Luisa carrying the rocks in the bridge part. The look of horror in Mirabel’s eyes when she sees how much Luisa’s actually carrying. Not only that, she faced her actions and tried to change herself as well to help them. A lot of siblings may come out and express their personal struggles to their siblings and will not ve listened to or will be ignored when they hit a nerve. Mirabel’s level of emotional sensitivity and intelligence is astounding

Llegue un año tarde😭 espero puedan traducir el comentario, el motivo por el cual la abuela y el abuelo tuvieron que irse de su pueblo es una demostración de cómo las personas desde hace muchos años está siendo desplazada de sus casas, amenazados, asesinados y secuestrados,(esto para reclamar algún tipo de recompensa por su liberación, pero muchas veces simplemente son asesinados) por problemas internos del país, también se aprovechan de ellos, y roban sus tierras para cosechar drogas o algo que les dé dinero para mantenerse, y conseguir dinero para armas. De echo son muchos factores lo que causa esto, en las partes más alejadas de la ciudad que es donde están los campesinos, están desprotegidos desde hace años por la corrupción, así como también los matan para tener falsos positivos, (los cuales los hacen pasar por guerrilleros del ELN mayormente para ver qué sus soldados están "ganando la batalla") así como la fosa que se encontró hace poco con la colaboración de uno de los participantes. Faltan demasiadas cosas pero creo que con eso entienden un poco mas
