I love how vision/being able to see is so emphasised in the film, it begins with Abuela telling mirabel to open her eyes to see her gift (the candle), Mirabel wants abuela to open her eyes to see her for who she is (in waiting on a miracle), brunos visions are all about opening his eyes obviously, and it ends with the exact same way it started, with Abuela telling Mirabel to open her eyes to see the gift, herself (Also cool how mirabel is one of the only people in the family that wears glasses but she truly sees the problems within her family) Sorry for the essay
