Women may have stayed home, but they still had plenty of work to do unless they were wealthy. Taking care of a home and children is work.

Thats how I got the dishwasher replaced, landed in the hospital with my auto immuen condition, after hubby had to do cook & dish duty for a week, the old thing was replaced with something modern( 2000s). He understood Finally! The 1978 dish washer sanitised not washed the dishes. He didnt believe until he experienced it first hand!😊

My mother taught me never to get in a car with a stranger. When I was around 16 years old I took a city bus to school. One morning a woman pulled up to the curb at the bus stop and unlocked the front passenger door. There were a couple of empty baby seats set up in the back. I told the woman through the window “no”. She was pushy and insistent that I get in her car. I got a weird feeling not to do it, and kept telling her no. Eventually she got nervous and drove off. As I stood there I remembered what my mother told me at age 5 or 6 about not taking rides from strangers. It doesn’t matter what age you are saying no can save your life. I’m 61 years old now.

I love this. It’s a real gem. The unorganized Smith family was giving me anxiety. I thoroughly enjoyed the organization and cohesion of family #2.

Jack Ryan is a vampire. If he was about 18 here he must have been around 40 when he went to high school with Samantha Baker, then joined the CIA in 2018 at the age of 80.

Very cool to see a young Darren McGavin (of many old westerns, & Ralphie's "old man" in 1983's A Christmas Story) in this short advertising film.

Until the 1980's Americans could buy with a single income until the Reagan economy when two incomes were necessary and the generation of latch key kids were created...before Reagan Mom's would be there to welcome their kids home...and that is a fact!
