This could have been my parents, but obviously, it wasn’t. Five years later, my Dad was in the Navy, and Mom in the WAVES. He wasn’t killed, and when I was born, the family followed living on various bases including overseas. Dad had been promoted and assigned to nuclear testing in the Pacific. I vaguely remember living in the Philippines.
