This will really be a hit or miss. I think it's a great set, but i understand your worries about the aftermarket supply. However with such a limited shelf life it should be still able to perform decently. Thank you for watching!

These sets feel like hidden gems, and you never know what's going to have with them.

Personally i don't think Eldorado Fortress will be extended, but it's definitely possible. The biggest risk is in the A-Frame Cabin. I totally understand you're nervous about it, so am i... :)

Great set, best R2-D2 to date in my opinion. If you want it for your own collection then you can buy it. As an investment you have to wait untill the set is about to retire and that will not be this year.

I fully understand what you're saying. There were some great GWP's that's why i said 'almost no good GWP's' :D The discounts from -50% on sets that i think are investment worthy i haven't seen so far but ofcourse i could have just missed them. I understand the video probably seems a bit more negative then i've ment it to be and obviously it's always a bit personal. I'm glad you were able to score some good deals! I understand what you're saying but i think it's just a matter of time. Every set needs time to age and this was (and still is) such a great set that it can't do anything else then perform well in the future. At least that's what i'm thinking ;) Thank you for watching!

xy evolutions was stagnant for a long time I was buying tons of booster boxes and cracking them with my niece and was a super fun set just like hidden fates. Then all the supply just dried up and price spiked up a ton. Team up was similar too. Remember buying the last booster box for 100$ and thinking how much fun the set was, wish I would have got more because it went through the roof

same haven't bought any since January and it was an overseas bundle, bought £130 today tho from brick link 4 x 501st, 5 x clone trooper droid battle pack, and 2x obi wan starlighter, average 49% off in total so to me that's decent enough. But I have seen nowhere stores online or in store for any good deals on any sets, waiting till end of q3 to looking again

Thank you for watching! I normally only buy sets that are about to retire. In rare occasions i buy a collection to sell the sets separately, but that almost never happens. The price where you buy a set for is the leading factor for how long the holding time should or can be. If it's a brand new set or you bought it from someone else doesn't really matter. This because of the simple fact that the cheaper you buy a set for the quicker you will be able to make a decent return on your investment. Oh yeah, if you buy a set from someone, always be sure that it hasn't been opened before. If it was opened and buil before obviously that will reduce the value significantly.

Thank you for watching! And ofcourse you're right. But they also don't keep on printing the exact same sets over and over again. All the really qualitative Japanese sets have a decent premium now and i expect the same for 151. But ofcourse, on the short term prices could see a big relapse. However i'm still convinced this set is that strong and has so much attraction that i can't see it drop (far) below 100 euros here in Europe. But as i said in the video, everything will depend on how big the reprint / restock exactly is.

@@TheCollectingInvestor I do think all sets regarding the first generation Pokémon - most of the time - will have a good value. If Pokémon considers to start reprinting most of their sets, they maybe should start using designations to keep original and reprints apart from eatchother.

In my experience most peoples are not buying huge amounts of Lego sets to invest in. The most peoples i know buy a set two times. Keep one and sell one after some time basicly with the only purpose of funding them own collection. In theory you could see this as a side hustle that makes you money but the profits are (in this case) so minimal that you don't have to register a business for it. In (as far as i know) all European countries (and probably also other countries) you have a certain amount of money that you can earn a year from let's say a hobby that doesn't require you to pay taxes on. Also, making a video about this subject is near to impossible because of the simple fact that the law is different in almost every (European) country. So if i would make a video for peoples in Belgium the information would be wrong for peoples from Germany, etc. But ofcourse you make a valid point there. If peoples want to invest on a bigger scale and want to make a decent amount of money with it they should always do it as a business. I will keep it in mind for future videos.

Just to mention in general that selling new sealed lego sets on an continuing ongoing basis would often require to register a business and pay taxes to stay legal in many countries which will cut into profits and is an additional hassle. So that viewers are just aware that this could be an issue, depending on where they live.

Thanks as always for watching! Like always diversify is key. Alternative investments as Lego, Pokémon, etc. are nice and fun, but they don't replace traditional investments. But anyway as i've mentioned, after every dip comes a new high so i don't see why Lego investing should be dead. Concerning the purchase videos, they will come back, but not immediately. I'm not buying anough at this moment to make a monthly video about it. I tend to only start buying a bit more before summer and then most in the last months of the year again. But they will come back ;)
