I want to start a medical sale business in orthopedic with no background in medical sale but I have an experience in sports medicine as a DO. What would you recommend to start a company ?

In my junior year of undergrad, not sure what I want to do, had been thinking about med sales this last semester. This is a gold mine, I’m very thankful for info provided

As someone with no experience I ended up making a connection with someone from Boston scientific and they said I’m really easy to talk to and would be really good in this field. Ended up connecting me with the territory manager and connected with him. We had a great conversation and he got me an interview. I really just want to help people. Im excited for the interview. Do you have any advice on how to go about the interview besides being myself and just being genuine? Thanks man!

I have 8 years of sales experience and consistent accolades (highest sales honor at my company 2 years in a row, for example. My prior 6 years were in positionsnthat didnt have these awards). Im trying to get into pharma or medical device sales but cant get through the "no experience in pharma or med devixe sales" block.

I am actively looking for a medical device sales job as someone with clinical experience but no sales experience. I would love some tips on how to get my foot in the door with no sales experience. I look forward to hearing back from you hopefully!

It is very hard to find someone that is medical and truly business minded. It is even harder to find those personality traits along with someone that truly cares about patients and relationships.

Do you have any suggestions for medical sales that directly relates to Neuroscience or the gut biome?

I'm actually someone who was hired with no medical sales specific experience but medical experience as a medic and sales experience of many different fields. My CEO said he doesn't want someone with ego and baggage. I'm a blank page he can form into what he wants. "Experience is just ego" he said Lol it doesn't hurt that I don't come with a big salesman salary right off the bat 😂

Thanks for all the insights. I think adding the keywords in small white fonts at the end of the resume is a real game changer for professionals like me trying to break in from a totally unrelated industry. That, and the ability to network with someone from inside the company, of course.
