Do you still have the v-3000 and did you receive potential safety issue notice from Oneida regarding the bolts that secure the fan to the motor on the V-3000?

Absolutely beautiful work! I was so inspired by this piece that I made one. The small strips of wood were made from black walnut and I used ash for the contrasting color(s). When it was done, my wife insisted that I enter the cutting board in the Ventura County Fair competition. I did and the cutting board took 1st place...thanks

Just stumbled on to your channel, nice work. Looks like a lot of time making these. How much are you asking for these?

AWhy don't you cut each piece without paint and without masking.....and paint them later with spray paint?....and glue them later....to me this way is easier and faster

Thanks for the helpful video. I'm needing to do my first set of floating shelves, and yours is the best non-marketing video that gives the pros/cons of this system.

I bet several of these or like these joined together would make a gorgeous club table or dining table. Or even kitchen counter top. But the amount of time and craftsmanship put into it... Man, you have my greatest respect!

another question: Is that a sliding attachment to the table saw? Can you share more info to it?

this is really a piece of art! quick question: how essential would be it have a drum sander? I wanted to build this pattern but just hesitant due to drum sander. Dont own one since dont have the space for it.

I'm sure it's in the comments somewhere, but electrical super strut is more rigid, and it's got holes for 1/2 inch carriage bolts. About $40 for a 10 foot section. I got two, and made three pairs of 40 inch cauls. I put a 6 inch bolt with a washer and wingnut on one end and clamp on the other. Thanks for sharing!

I prefer Tung Oil over Mineral Oil simply because Mineral Oil and anything using Mineral Oil, never fully dries. There is always a slight dampness and liquidity and each time you put food, especially meat, on the cutting board, some of that mineral oil gets into your food. Yes the FDA says it's safe but would you trust a government with a vested interest in you dying before retirement age?

What laser do you have? I have a xtool d1 pro 20w. And how do you design your art? I’m interested in creating and not just grab files from Etsy.

Since KZbin got rid of PMs, I will try this and hope you are still keeping an eye on things. First, great video, I really enjoyed watching. Second, it seems that the link for the design is no longer valid. I am getting my first laser this week and would really like to try this design once I have kicked the tires a bit. If you see this can you reply with a new link? Thanks for the content! ~Scott

Those are a great idea for caul clamps. I'll have to make myself a set. In the past, I left my caul clamps in place until the glue sets. Wet glue is like a lubricant and can allow the wood to shift until it dries.

If you use a “stain wood conditioner” the second coat of stain will not dry as fast and will be easier to work with. It will stain more evenly.
