Loved this video Joe. Went to Italy this past year and visited the usual touristy places. And although I really enjoyed Rome (and Orvieto), the places your video highlighted are much more my cup of tea. I am planning a second swing through and will definitely reference this video. Grazie!!

I love Rome too! There are just so many incredible places in Italy and many people decide to visit the usual 5 or so places but it's a shame because there is so much more to see! You truly need a lifetime to explore all of Italy and everything it has to offer!

Yes I agree with you.... It's just hard to judge a tradition that's been going on for a long time but when I was there they did say that they do release them into the wild after evert festival.

GOSPEL All of us are evil and deserve to go to hell If you have lied once, stolen a small thing, taken the lords name in vain(OMG), looked at someone sexually, you are worthy of going to hell! Here is the good news Jesus Christ paid the fine by dying on the cross so that all we have to do to get to heaven is confess plus turn away from our sins and to put all of our trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation!

A good gelato above all is a gelato made with real ingredients rather than artificial flavours and colorants, so real pistacchios or hazelnuts, possibly toasted just before making the icescream, instead of ready made paste, fresh fruit. high quality fresh milk, cream and eggs instead of their powdered versions, real chocolate, possibly dark, and so on.
@JoeClement6 ай бұрын
I've heard that there is like a "shine" on the really artificially processed gelatos haha I'm not entirely sure if this is true but I'm lucky that I know a few reliable spots around where I frequently travel to in Abruzzo that make freshly made gelato each morning :)
@3r4kl3s6 ай бұрын
@@JoeClement I wouldn't know if you can spot artificial icecream just by looking at it but the difference in flavour is difficult to miss, so asking to sample some gelato should be sufficient. Btw, you can make gelato every morning and still use artificial flavours, powdered milk etc Icecream selling bars in italy have suppliers that carry those sort of artificial icecream bases too, if so inclined. It's more about the quality of ingredients than the mere freshness.
@AnneCaulder2 ай бұрын
I have heard to stay away from the bright colors, as those are the artificial gelato.

My family is from Abruzzo and my grandparents immigrated to montreal Canada in the 60s. I experienced a lot of thse traditions as a child and we have made arosticini hundreds of times!! so cool to see you experience it in the homeland. I am planning my visit there soon, have never been. My grandfather sold his home in pescara and it is now a vineyard, so I have to go back and see it.

Sad that most Canadians go to Cuba only for the resort not for its culture, architecture people or history. At best a day trip to Havana .
@JoeClement9 ай бұрын
This is true.... I did want to explore the real Cuba during this trip but it wasn't the right time being with my family. I did speak to some of the locals off camera about some of their struggles and that was quite eye opening. I hope to go back one day and document more of the real side of Cuba.

I mostly fly in the middle of the countryside nowhere near any airport so I haven't run into any issues... They do have the same rules as where I'm from(Canada) so I would just be careful and use common sense when flying.
