We still don't know how well this line-up will gel together. On one hand, we gave up two big scorers for one big scorer......but we were in desperate need for a center and we got a very good one. Time will reveal all.

I hate the trade. Donte easy 15-20 points Julius easy 30-35 points on a good night. Towns not even close so yeah I hate the trade. If I could snap my fingers & make this trade go away I do it in a hot minute. I hope towns proves me wrong.

Really what won me over is the spacing KAT will provide. It will help the entire team. And when you factor how Brunson scored last season its scary to think it will be even easier for him to score with KAT.

What would make you think Thibs is gonna play Kolek?!? He's reluctant to play any rookie that wasn't drafted ridiculously early (making benching them difficult to justify). Plus, Kolek has shown he's not ready from a defensive standpoint (another huge pet peeve of Thibs'). Without injuries on the roster, there is no way he's gonna see the floor! He'll probably be at the games in street clothes! That's not to diss the guy, I love his potential, but right now? I seriously doubt it!

The main doubt on our Knicks is the bench. I know Thibs is known to not play his young players especially rookies but I think having coached RJ, quickly, as well as experiencing the positive impact that giving minutes to McBride was. You can’t sleep on our rookies. They may not initially get minutes but if they deserve minutes by earning them ; they will be important pieces into us having a championship level season. Add a healthy Mitch , Shamet, and Payne ( to start the season because I think Kolek will take most of his minutes by regular season end) . Not to mention I believe Jericho will have a career year as it’s the first offseason he’s healthy . Anything from Dadeit is a plus. We know what we’ll get from our starting lineup. To win the chip we’ll need our rookies to meaningfully contribute and Jericho to have a solid year which I don’t think is too crazy too far fetched. None of the league is factoring this and we’re gonna catch a lot of teams and Vegas off guard. Outside of Boston; which if what I just mentioned comes true we’ll beat them convincingly in a 7 game series, the only team I see us having trouble with is OKC . if our rooks and Jericho contribute we’re eastern conference champs no doubt in my mind. Then it’s coin flip against OKC but they’ve shown to fold on the big stage. Obviously we have to stay healthy . 60 wins I would be higher but we have to give time for the new pieces to acclimate and Thibs time to set the bench rotation.

He's kind of tweener. He's built more like a point guard, but he plays more like a shooting guard. He's a good defender, but asking him to guard true shooting guards is asking a lot.

@@Striker1A health would be the most important thing . I think we’re do a healthy season after what happened last season. I feel like last season was an anomaly . I understand teams go through injuries but last season was something I’ve never seen in the history of the NBA let alone the Knicks, and I’ve been watching the NBA for over 30 years. Just statistically the odds of that happening again is like lightning striking the same place twice. Our whole Starting lineup was injured by game 7 vs Indy. Sure players will miss games here and there and anything could happen but that goes for every team. What the Knicks went through last season; literally had never happened before to the extent of my knowledge, but everything happens for a reason and our squad was tested in a way few teams been before to then be in a position to consistently contend for a title for the next 3 to 4 years . We’re going to see a chip in New York before it’s all said and done mark my word. Maybe even this year, the only two teams I think when healthy; in our way are the Celtics and OKC, and I think we roll over Boston in a 7 game series .

This trade $ucks, the Kat cow is worse then Randell, I wanted Randell out but not for kat the cow, he is a soft player. he is not a player you can count on to bring a championship that's why they trade his cow @$$. Edward couldn't ply with him because of his softness. The NBA should investigate the trade and block it from going through. Why add Donte to this trade WHY? Yes now you are telling us hw was not happy of course not Donte is a big lose to the team. As a Knick fan that I am I hope you never regret this move like you did with the melo trade @$$ holes 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

From the start I told my friends I don’t love the trade and I don’t hate the trade but I fully understand the trade. KAT is gonna be a better fit with this roster and appreciate what Randle did to get us to where we are now

@@MrFranckWhite they re-signed Okeke to a camp deal after cutting him. They could have done the same with Morris. He’ll likely sign with another team because it’s unlikely the Knicks will be able to clear enough room without trading Mitch. At 13 years of NBA experience, the minimum salary is over 3.3 million
