hi. for both conventional and fan forced oven, are you putting the cake at the lowest rack? and for conventional oven, is bake using top and bottom heat together ?
@NorahsCookingDiary6 күн бұрын
Hi there. I am using a fan-forced oven and baking the cake on the lowest rack. Please note that there is typically a 20°C temperature difference between conventional and fan-forced ovens. If you are using a conventional oven, you will need to adjust the temperature 20°C higher. You can bake the cake on either the lowest or middle rack of your conventional oven. Hope this helps 😊

What protein can i use instead of chicken for a vegan version of this that actually works well?
@NorahsCookingDiary3 ай бұрын
Hi there. I’ve never tried making this recipe vegan, so I’m not sure how it would taste with chicken replaced by very firm fried tofu, roasted cauliflower, or mock meat. You could give it a try and see if it suits your taste 🙂

Will the santan split if I cook it over high

Hi there. Once you add the coconut milk to the pot you then bring the curry to a boil over HIGH heat. High heat only to bring it to a boiling state and not throughout the whole cooking process. Once it start to boil, briefly stir the mixture and reduce heat to LOW. It is best to not rush the cooking process.

Hello, Norah, and thank you for this marvelous recipe demonstration of Tofu and fresh crispy cod fish chunks. Following your clear and precise directions, I made this with all ingredients prepared well before cooking. This was essential in being organized for my success on a complex recipe. Result: my granddaughters and entire family loved the tasty sauce with brown rice. The joy for me was, they kept thanking me for two days. And, I must thank you, too, for making it possible. Do you sell your collection of recipes in a cookbook? Please let me know, and thank you. G. Lim San Francisco, cA

Hi Norah, May I know if I’m allergy with peanut can I just replace the amount of peanut to flour or how? Thank you for advise
@NorahsCookingDiary Жыл бұрын
Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that you are allergic to peanut. Unfortunately the main ingredient for this recipe is the peanut. Without the peanut it will only be a dough that is covered with icing sugar. If you are not allergic to walnut, almond nut or cashew nut, maybe you could substitute the peanut with these. Hope this helps 😊
