Great work with this. Clear and concise with helpful comments. For example, placing a rag over the tool when releasing the air pressure, using a flat-face 26 mm socket, loosening the damper BEFORE removing the lowers, removing oil from dampener rod, soaking foam seals in a bag, guiding dampener rod back in lowers, reinstallation and adjustment of compression knob. I'm very thankful for this video.

I have a new (for me 2018) and will do the tests (but with vacuumeters I can get from a friend, wll try to add two slowjets in the tubing just for slow the fluctuations and help that it wont suck the transmission fluid in the tubes. The special black screw on the non-drive side (@10:00min in the video) sometimes get loosen by its own on my Mavic CrossMax SX wheels. This is when I drive the bike on a very rocky downhill trails. The wheel may have a slack as high as 2-3mm when you push/pull the tire to left/right. I found this a bad design flaw and not amused about it 😞I fixed this problem by designing a 3D-printed 2.60mm ABS spacer ring between the end-cap and the special black screw. In case this special black-screw gets loosen again, the spacer will block - hopefully it does not become worse... If you guys suffer such a problem, you should measure the gap with a digital caliper and build a spacer like that.

Hi there. I service my fork yesterday as it was bottoming out just by sitting on it. But after servicing it, the still bottoming out. Not as easy as before, but is not rigid enough to go ride. Have you ever service the air shaft or damper shaft? Also after filling g the 160ml of oil from the top, you don't add any from the bottom? Thanks for you video, it helped me service my fork with confidence.

I know this is a few years late to comment but I have a 2007 fox talas RLC. I moved the travel adjust knob and now it only gets 100mm travel no matter which location I put it in. Do you know if there is a simple fix for this by any chance?

On the lockout knob you meant clockwise? I turned it counterclockwise expecting it to stop and got a big ol splash of oil on my face.

Hi there is this damper a open bath damper R or RL. I have jt got a set in very good condition owner says they are 2009 fox talas 150mm and the decals was removed by owner so I can't tell for tht I did ask but they says they took forks to shop for servicing and don't know. I can see by the fox oil guide online tht the fox talas open bath R or RL tool fox red but 2010fox talas RL or RLC took the green fox. I have took the air out the chamber screwd damper side off at top compressed it to see inside but it was to dark to see dwn but when I pushed the damper slowly dwn to screw back on I saw tht the oil was come out the inside top part underneath o ring at the damper rod does this mean its a open bath damper. Or is it jt the FIT cartridge tht are sealed on fox fork. I don't know alot about fox fork yet but am reading on this matter for a week now and no luck yet thanks for any help kind regards Richard

excellent brakedown! however i think you confused rebound and compression stacks in the end. (it would make more sense from counting the holes as you have 0 1 2 as the compression adjustment and 0 1 2 3 4 5 for the rebound)

I've never owned a bike with this type of hub. Most QR hubs are ball bearing systems. I don't think most ball bearing QR systems are compatible with 15 mm thru axles

Would you say it is possible to put a calibrated bushing to shorten the travel?

I'm trying to convert my Yamaha Raider from the stock 3 wire bulb to some smaller LED bullets. But for the life of me I can't figure out why the running lights won't work checked everything with a 12v battery before installing them but once I connect the 3 LED wires to the 3 bike wires all I get is the turn signals I hate messing with electrical systems

Would it matter if I accidentally got the IFP a few mm off where it should be
