If I have to guess, "server 2" itself is new & the owner(s) probably moved/copied their world file into this server. Using common sense, I highly doubt the one who placed the sign has any reason to lie about the date, because well, it's a dead/inactive server.

For anyone who might find this useful; If downgrading a world and a particular chunk area keeps crashing, go back up a version and look around in spectator/creative/use xray to find any blocks that contain metadata, such as chests or mob spawners. Minecraft's data has changed form a lot over the years, and sometimes those forms are incompatible when downgrading. A consistent crash that I got when downgrading was caused by a surprise skeleton dungeon near where I was standing.

Bit late to this video, it being almost 2 years old, but I've been doing a similar concept to this but in the form of an actual long-term survival world. I complete a few goals for each version, depending on what the version added (1.0.0 was defeat the ender dragon, 1.2.1 was find a jungle biome and make a giant treehouse, etc.) along with abusing any useful glitches like melting ice to get water in the nether. I've been working on it for a bit over a year and I'm currently on 1.7.10 (I realised after 1.4.2 that I really should stop playing 1.x.0 versions and instead play 1.x.last versions) It is really cool to see how the world generation has changed, even within biomes, for example, the taiga changed from a cool biome to a snowy biome and back to a cool biome at which point the snowy taiga was added, causing there to be half-frozen taigas in my world, not to mention some 20-block-tall chunk borders. I really can't wait for 1.9, not even for the elytra but mostly just for shulkers and mending. Until 1.9, it really isn't worth it to get max enchantments on gear unless you have a villager breeder, and even then, it's rather tedious.

The cutouts are chunks generated from a different version or seed. F3 + G reveals that the walls align with the chunk borders.

I played a Creative world in 1.9 but accidentally made a repeating command block at spawn that summoned an exponentially growing number of entities which crashed my game when I loaded the world. I got rid of it by downgrading to 1.8 (before repeating command blocks) then updating to 1.9 again. A couple of chunks near spawn were re-generated like they were from a different world.

at 1.16 you should look underground, there should be no bedrock, why: 1.17 have got depper world. so after downgrade there is no depper world so it deleted bedrock with depper mines

dude please answer, idk what happend but i was playing on the 1.21 and then i turn on forge and download a 1.21 version of this xray pack in beta (i was just testing it) but all my world GONE and i have gone back to version 1.21 normal but there was also NO WORLDS please i need help i cant loose so much progress help me man

i did this except with starting at infdev, and whenever a new tree type was added then some of the leaves on the oak trees at spawn would convert to the new tree type
