Did you book a tour for this trip? Or find a group when you were there? I’d love to do a solo trip here but would prefer to do with a group tour as a woman, this looked incredible!
@hopscotchtheglobe6 күн бұрын
No I didn’t book a tour for this week of my trip. Jas Vilas (where I stayed) was recommended by a friend. The walking tour I booked once I was in Jaipur. I met another traveler who told me about the tour she did and how awesome it was so I got the contact details and did it myself. Then I just spent the rest of the week exploring on my own. I used Uber to book tuk tuks and cab (which was quick and safe) and looked up recommendations for places to shop, eat and explore via blog posts and from locals. However, my friend Mariellen has a company called India for Beginners and she puts together itineraries for solo female travelers. She did it for me for the first few days I was there (which I shared in IG stories) and it was great. You can google India for Beginners or find her on IG.

You definitely should go back! The shopping is incredible. There’s just so much to see and eat! The food was delicious. One restaurant I absolutely loved is called The Johri. They have very unique vegetarian dishes that are so good.

Much of this video seems to involve guiding viewers on how to waste money - observe the endorsement, for instance, to spend ~seven hundred dollars a year to own a fucking credit card.
@hopscotchtheglobe6 күн бұрын
Well that credit card has saved us more than $700 each year thats for sure. It comes with unlimited access to 1000s of lounges around the world. You get a $250 flight or hotel voucher, a $250 restaurant voucher, travel insurance coverages and you can rack up so many points on everyday things you usually spend money on that can be applied to flights (we get 3-6 flights free a year just from this card). So I'd say it's worth it.

What if they want to leave for over 1,5 years (they are not certain, they can’t give a time because that would take away from their freedom). They want to backpack from the Netherlands to India.

There's just one thing. As Airalo's esim is only for data transmission, you can't make or receive phone calls. Which, in principle, wouldn't be a problem since nowadays everything is done via the internet, right? Until the day my car rented by SIXT broke down in the interior of Spain, in the middle of nowhere, and the only way to contact the rental company was BY PHONE CALL! It is serious. There was no WhatsApp number or anything on the rental papers. Only one telephone number to contact in case of an accident or vehicle breakdown. A good-natured Spaniard who was passing by on the road stopped and was kind enough to make the call. Here's a tip.

I've been in situations like that too. That's why I always have Skype on my phone with credit available. Very useful!

That is not true, I work in my pass 5 different airlines (United Airline, and rest international airlines) we do not like when people ask us free upgrade. And we can never gave anyone for free upgrade. Unless we oversold on economy and we have avilable business, even that time we offer to pax with loyalty program or who's fare ticket was higher. And booking middle seat is wrong advice I think, most pax don't even look until tgey get to seat, which surprises me and system gives automaticly seats. So if plane full, and you book middle seat, yoi will be seating between two pax for 9-11 hours of flight 😁 I listen her till 3:11, I don’t want to waste my 1 second to her anymore

I and my husband once got an upgrade. It was interesting, we were flying with a short flight before layover and then long, from Europe to Asia. We were told to get new boarding pass at a transfer desk and when we did guy said to my husband "are you traveling in business today? " we didn't get it and he replied "no, just vacation". Then we moved on and later found out our new boarding passes were business class. It was ethiad, perhaps?I don't remember. It was very nice experience and a complete surprise
