It is more worth to do that, yes. In the grand scheme of things though, we're talking about as much damage as 1 GCD or less of another ability. The more important thing would be to make sure you fit as many ghoul casts as possible into an encounter, or if you run out of runes/RP and need a filler GCD. In this scenario specifically, my character would've only been able to get a Heart of Solace proc to the ghoul's benefit.

2 tanking adds on P3 nef allows you to have 2nd tank threat, since they wipe the main tank's threat every time they perish. Also, since nearly all comps 3-tank P1, you may as well just use both OTs for P3.

@@BigChopwowTV The one good thing about Prot Warrior is that you could use Vigilance on the main tank in P3, and taunt every single mob that runs towards the raid. It is probably the only class that can reliably gather every mob in any situation. The rest can do it too, but the more residual threat others have, the harder it will be for you to pick up the mobs, and move them away for later Shadowblazes.

The bottom is very tricky for camera angles, which restrict your zoom out distance. stay max zoomed out, but try to re-angle similar to what I do in the videos. Either way, the command /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor 2.6 should work. If not, you can grab Leatrix or AdvancedInterfaceOptions to set the zoom to it's max out.

Definitely be crit capped if you're new to prot warrior, encounter progression or playing with newer healers. You have to communicate with your healers prior to and during fights to make sure everyone is doing their best. Can't not be casting, can't idle, can't AFK. 95+ is achievable in full mit gear and stam gems... Regarding the slow weapon, I'd always opt to use it because of how smooth rage generation is with them. Also, abilities hitting for weapon damage rather than DPS.

Ok ya appericate that so I dont have all the armor pen gear to work with like you do Ive got 5pcs with ARP on it and them im using Needle encrusted ARP trinket from FOS and then the badge trinket the Herkulm War Token since I didnt have alot of armor pen I opt into full 10str/10Crit gems in every slot if I change em to armor pen do you think itll improve my dmg even morelike honestly the FoS trinket and esp the badge trinket are under rated like im doing better parses then some of the warriors under me with dbw and shit so since Im not able to hit armor pen cap well being def capped is it better to just stuff as much str in as possible? EDIT: Forgot to ask how do you feel about the Exacutioneer enchant from tbc giving 120 Armor Pen or just go Berserking? Granted u dont lose armor with exacutioneer not to worried about it if im in this gear set anyway what u think would do better for my overall dmg I no Prot warr already takes a ton of dmg so why parse on them but glad I found ur videos I FKN Love it its so fun ofc I do it on my prot pally n my bear but warrior just so fucking fun.. @@BigChopwowTV I think that you'd only get executioner if it completed your ARP cap to reap the most benefit. I don't use a sim, but it could work. I use the same weapon for all boss encounters so I prefer to lose ~1% physical DR (-5% armor) and gain 400 AP multiple times a fight tho.

If you want to wear DPS gear and be crittable, you have to know how much bosses hit for. You can see in my log that I posted in the description that I do get crit from Putricide, but I have external CD - shield wall and lay on hands that makes the hits very small.

30% buff helps, and the gear is all in the logs. Spec is nothing out of the ordinary either, just a lot of DPS gear.

​@@CowClassic3 looking at the gear for these fights, it seems tailored to min-max toward maximizing damage over survivability. Not saying that's wrong, rather the contrary. I think it's exciting and I would like to understand it better so I can also try. I think there is something to be said if you can survive as a tank at a comfortable level but then do massive damage to help take the boss down even faster. It makes total sense. Are you able to gear this way because your raid group are all decked out and stacked? Or would you still be wearing this gear to parse if you were raiding with a group less geared/skilled? For instance, are you wearing this same gear when tanking any other boss like Halion or Sindragosa?

@@casanoa7 As a tank, when you first encounter a tier, you have to be very aware of boss values - how much they hit for, how often, when is there a risk of dying. With 30% increased HP/damage/shields/healing, if the healers pay attention, i'm very likely not going to die. I definitely don't wear crittable gear on most bosses, just the ones that will likely not result in a wipe because of me. In that log you can still see Sindragosa, and you can see Notcow's Halion logs too for gear.

This is with 15% HP/shields increase. The raid damage also decays the longer you kite, so it's most lethal if you get hit immediately after you were picked.

@@CowClassic3 Thats what I know. Tbh I only know the privat server mechanic and there it was always an one hit.

Since WOTLK is tuned in a way that doesn't require as much EHP as possible, I tend to wear pieces that can benefit threat/damage. Normally, it'll only be for non-prog bosses. For that boss fight in the video, I didn't wear those. The ring tho, has expertise which is a defensive piece for parry haste on Halion.

^ This 100%. I main Prot Paladin so it's normal for our MH to be a DPS MH, trinkets to be something like Deaths Choice, and our gems to be Str/Stam, even on hard progression bosses

Same can be said about any boss in any game, though! They're all killable by a moderate amount of people. The big difference is the amount of wipes per boss... "Casual" or "Mid level" guilds stood no chance against HLK pre-buff.

Probably will end up having one. Seems like by later tiers they scale better and prove useful on some fights. Weaker of the 4 for sure.

We've actually had to do a lot of holy priest + 2 rsham on top. I normally get a rdruid + hpal when I'm down.
