My personnel take is that, if you got legal stay in America and you lived here more than 10 years and you are married here with kids, invest here in America. real estate, stock, life insurance for your family. If in the future you decide to move to Ghana, you can always liquidate your real estate take cash back to Ghana and built the house you what. But for the mean time you can buy land and keep it for future. I wont built a house in Ghana knowing I am not ready to move to Ghana or live there six month at a time. I wont built to hire someone to live there and then every month they will send me their water and power bil for me to pay. It is happening to a lot of Ghanaian. When I visit Ghana I stay in hotel just like I do when I travel to other countries. I am only in Ghana for maximum of 3 weeks. If you dont have legal stay in America then built and invest in Ghana.
@GhanabaKwaku6 күн бұрын
Thanks for chiming in. I respect your opinion. I’m sure you aren’t the only one with such a take. However there are others who even if they live in Ghana in spurts want to have something they can call their own and not need to perch even if it is just for 3 weeks. You can do both. Look into that some more. Africa is the next “it”; don’t get caught at the back of the line.
@ourfamilytree59315 күн бұрын
I understand your perspective but then if let’s say you are spending $1,500 on hotel stays per year, I would rather build something decent and call it my own. Also in regards to the paying utilities when you don’t live there, I would suggest using solar powered equipments such as exterior security cameras, and lighting. Then get a separate prepaid connection for the caretaker if he/she lives in an outhouse, and let them pay their own electric bill since you are paying them. This is my take. Building back home is important and it’s even more vital due to the current events it doesn’t matter if legal or not or how long you’ve lived here. Anyway that is my opinion.
@kwesiasante77525 күн бұрын
@ourfamilytree5931 Solar power is good but you have to remember that solar panels need to be maintained as well and also if there isnt enough sunlight during raining season you have to go on local power. I had solar panels at my proprty before. Especially Ghana have lots of dust. So you have to constantly go on the roof top to clean those panels or it will not produce adequate power. $1500 a year for hotel stay is not bad. Thats like saving a $100 a month for the stay. I have spend two times that vacationing in various places with my family in the pass. There is also the trust issue when you send money back home to do anything. Whether is your family or friend the trust is a problem. Investing and saving in the place you currently reside is more beneficial. If you are ready to build or buy in Ghana as long as the cash is there , you can buy right away. I wonder how the white people and the African American go to Ghana that they never been there and drop cash buying homes in legon and other places. Some even bought lands and within a year they built there home and we live and work with them here in America. For me I am following their financial plan. Long term invest. Stocks, 401, and real estate.

I am always fascinated how much money house iwners can spend for the wrong windows. You pay more than double to get half of the possible air intake. Does it make sense? The only realxwindows for a tropical climate ard louvres-no doubt. Modern louvre are not comparable to the old style but very efficiet. Modern windows are always half closed!!!
@GhanabaKwaku8 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment! You bring up an interesting point about windows in tropical climates. I agree that ventilation is key, and louvres have been a popular choice due to their ability to maximize airflow. That said, the choice of windows depends on several factors, including the type of building, aesthetics, and the specific needs of the homeowner. While modern windows may seem less ventilated, they often offer other benefits like improved security, energy efficiency, and weather resistance, which can be important in certain environments. It is always good to explore different options and choose what works best for the climate, the building and needs of the homeowner. I appreciate your input on the topic but I’d like to note that the tone of your comment felt a bit condescending. It is important to approach these discussions with respect for the choices and experiences of others. Can this size fit into a 11/2 door space?
@GhanabaKwaku8 күн бұрын
There are different sized doors in this video. 1.5 doors are usually 4ft wide. Please note that these doors are all custom made. You measure the space in your building rather than buying single, 1.5 or double.
