Yeahhhh, I wasn’t even thinking in my head I was like metal=sparks lol. And maybe a little but nothing noticeable to me they’re a lot thicker than the old bars so it probably equals out the fact they’re aluminum

Yeah I didn’t do that, I did try and take it easy but manly I just wanted to make sure I was moving through the rpms and not just staying stagnant below 4k. But after 500 miles I just road it like normal

I wanted one of these. Just being the cheapskate I am, I ended up buying a Chinese bike. The Lifan KPX 250. Absolutely love it so far. I cruise back roads and if I need to run into town for food or something small from the store like you said. I haven't had the chance to get it off road yet but I'm definitely looking to do some adventure riding soon. Hope you're still enjoying that bike!

Yeah, I really like the versys! Honestly for my style of riding a more touring oriented bike would probably be better because I ride mostly paved with gravel roads with maybe 10% actually off road. I just always wanted an enduro so I went this direction. One day I may have both!

@DrewCreate it's an awesome windshield. One ride was in 40mph wind gusts and though I really shouldn't have been out in that, the windshield was perfect. On calm days it's like a knife through butter. Can't speak for trail riding cause I just ride pavement and dirt roads. Buy it's a nice thick Lexan ,worth the $. I've a quick video of it on my channel.

Picked up my '24 a few weeks ago. As of today, 34 miles on it( weather sux ) but i have issues with finding 2nd and hit N every now and then. The seat is horrendous. Tires have been fine for me on dirt and muddy roads. That aside, im loving it so far. Bought for the gas savings and short commutes , locally and just get out of the house for a few. Mostly back roads so i can be alone.

Also have a look at the windshield from T-Rex Racing. It is mounted the same way but not as wide around the edges and has a sleek look. I installed one on my 2023 KLX300SM and it makes highway riding much more enjoyable and it feels safer just having that little bit of extra protection up front.
