Sir, the distance of the beam on my first floor is 9 feet in width and I have to make a partition wall of brick on the top and a gate has to be given in the center. So can I make a partition wall on top without any beam below? I have a 5 inch slab..Sir please reply and help me....thanks

Give a hidden beam underneath. To increase the stiffness of the slab right underneath the brick wall.

@@sarfraz212 Go for 4 inch light weight blocks instead of red brick. AAC provides good sound insulation as well.

You need to either go to Etabs 16 version or better go towards the latest 21 version.

I modeled a typical frame structure in ETABS 21. After running the analysis and design, and setting the rebar selection rules, when I go to the detailing, the beams on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors show “No Design”. The cross sections in the detailing show 10mm by 10mm weird figures. Tried multiple times. Beams on the upper floor have full detailing. Everything is good with them. For all the stories except the ground story, even the cross section of the beam is the same. Can you please guide me what could be the reason for this?

Most probably some of the beams have failed in those floors. If a beam has failed Etabs tends to give that message.

How do you make a video to teach someone something and you increased the speed of your speech so much that one can barely hear what you're saying?...it doesn't make sense bro...next time just leave your voice the normal way, don't speed it up. Even if the video ends up taking much longer, it fine.
