Master Beam Detailing in Etabs 21: The Ultimate Guide

I have gone through the above steps but i wont be able to view top and bottom steel Please help me regarding this I am using the same etabs version 2021.ONLY STIRRUPS I CAN VIEW

I modeled a typical frame structure in ETABS 21. After running the analysis and design, and setting the rebar selection rules, when I go to the detailing, the beams on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors show “No Design”. The cross sections in the detailing show 10mm by 10mm weird figures. Tried multiple times. Beams on the upper floor have full detailing. Everything is good with them. For all the stories except the ground story, even the cross section of the beam is the same. Can you please guide me what could be the reason for this?

Most probably some of the beams have failed in those floors. If a beam has failed Etabs tends to give that message.

@@civilfieldtrainers thank you Sir. You were right. Some of the members were unable to pass the check. Changing the Torsional Constant for those sections resolved the issue. Thanks again and keep up your work please.

Good morning everyone, I'm trying to use ETABS to design Reinforced Concrete box culvert, after successfully designing the model I can't proceed to run the analysis. I have been trying my possible best to get the analysis but the process is not scaling through. Please I need help and guidance on how to run the analysis please. This thing is giving me headache

Please use Staad Pro for carrying out the analysis and design of such structures. Etabs is really good for RCC and High Rise Structures. But for culverts, etc. Staad Pro is best.

There are certain issues related to scaling when exporting drawings from Etabs to AutoCAD. CSI detailer is better in this regard.

You need to either go to Etabs 16 version or better go towards the latest 21 version.

can we export rebar to revit?

You can export the Etabs model to Revit. But I'm not aware if the rebars can be exported too or not.

@@ahmadrezalatifi3278 As you may know, detailing can be exported in DWG format which is supported by Revit. Additionally, you can export the detailing in DXF format which is suitable for almost any CAD software including Revit.

after editing in detailing is there any way where we can check our if our detailing is sufficient in etabs...??

As far as I know, we cannot cross-check it like that in Etabs. But in RCDC we can. It shows us if the edited reinforcement is sufficient or not.

@@vasubhadania When we enter the "Rebar Selection Rules" data and we input the smallest and largest range data... that's where ETABS will calculate. and when we want to edit it cannot be smaller than the ETABS calculation. But if the distance between the smallest and largest ranges is too far, the ETABS calculation will have too many variations. example: input the smallest data 16, input the largest data 19. don't 13 and 50... then there will be many variations in the reinforcement.🙏
